Music City Minute: Luke Combs, Lady Antebellum, American Idol

Luke Combs has given fans a behind the scenes glimpse into recording "Beautiful Crazy," one of the five new tracks on his upcoming deluxe debut album, This One's for You Too. It was filmed at Nashville's Blackbird Studio, the video shows Luke and his band recording the track as the producer sits at the soundboard working his magic. "Beautiful Crazy" may be a new track on Luke’s debut record, but the song has already been a fan favorite at his shows for years.

This One's for You Too will hit store shelves on June 1.

Lady Antebellum messed up the national anthem before Game 5 between the Predators and Jets on Saturday night in Nashville. Charles Kelley started singing the wrong verse and Hillary Scott saved him.

American Idol was on last night and America voted the Top 7 down to the Top 5. Before two of the contestants went home they found out all of the Top 7 will go out on tour this summer. Some highlights from last night’s performances were Maddie Pope singing Sheryl Crow’s “If It Makes You Happy”:

And my favorite singer on the show Gabby Barrett absolutely killed it when she sang “How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore” by Prince:

And spoiler alert the Top 7 went down to 5 – going on to next week’s show will be Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe, Michael J. Woodard, and my fave Gabby Barrett! Sadly my other favorite Catie Turner and Jurnee aren’t moving forward to next week but they will be on the summer tour so they didn’t seem to upset.

Speaking of American Idol tonight on TV Luke Bryan will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
