There have been so many versions of this particular show that it was hard to choose which one I wanted to include for day 9. A Christmas Carol is possibly the most re-done Christmas movie in the history of Christmas movies. You probably thought I would choose the Disney version with Scrooge McDuck and Mickey, but NO. I do like the one with George C. Scott, it’s great, but the TV version with Sir Patrick Stewart quickly became a favorite of mine. I watch it every year if I can find it on because Patrick Stewart just makes a perfect Mr. Scrooge. He just LOOKS grouchy when he isn’t even trying. Fun fact, I have been in this play 3 or 4 times in my life in different roles as has my daughter. We did it every other year in community theater and it is such a fun play. It’s where I learned to speak with a British accent and it definitely made me wish I could talk like that every day.
