BOSTON — It’s often been said there are two events you never want to show up to while wearing white. Weddings and a November game against the Vancouver Canucks.

The Bruins were forced to make a quick wardrobe change before puck drop against the Canucks after both teams took the ice for pregame warmups wearing white uniforms, according to WFXT-TV.

The Bruins initially took the ice wearing their Reverse Retro “Pooh Bear jerseys.”

According to WFXT, the game was not listed as one of the Bruins’ scheduled Reverse Retro games. It is unlikely the garb was intended to be worn just for warmups. Although wearing special pre-game-only jerseys is not uncommon throughout the NHL, typically the jersey is worn with the rest of the game-ready pants, socks, and gear. The Bruins players and staff initially took the ice, decked head-to-toe in their usual Reverse Retro accessories.

The Bruins dropped the puck against Vancouver wearing their standard black and yellow home uniforms after a quick wardrobe change before the national anthems.
