Music City Minute: Chase Rice, Maren Morris, Chris Janson, Tim McGraw, Chris Young

Chase Rice responded to criticism he received after performing a concert that appeared to lack proper COVID-19 social distancing measures. Her performed for nearly 1,000 fans in Tennessee. Video from Chase’s performance made it rounds on the internet over the weekend, showing people clustered together near the front of the stage, and sparked an uproar.

This was what he had to say…

Well, this is awkward. Maren Morris found out Chris Janson blocked her on Twitter after playing a packed concert amidst the coronavirus pandemic. On Sunday Maren tweeted, “Ummmmmm what did I DO?!” alongside a screenshot of her Twitter app with the message, “@janson_chris blocked you.”

It’s crazy because Maren and Chris were once on good terms. In the summer of 2017, they served as opening acts on Sam Hunt’s 15 in a 30 Tour.

Turns out Chris Janson saw Maren’s tweets & replied, “Omg!! I have no idea, Love you & your husband. Definitely was a mistake.”

Hmmm who do you believe here?
