Braxton Keith

Pairing his affection for '80s country and old-school storytelling with contemporary hooks, Braxton Keith is a singer/songwriter from Midland, Texas. A string of increasingly popular independent releases like "Cold Hard Steel and Sand" and "Honky Tonk City" helped him build a national audience throughout the early part of the 2020s. His 2024 single "Cozy" proved an even bigger breakout, and by the end of that year he'd signed with Warner Music Nashville, which released his EP Blue.

Born and raised in Midland, Keith cites classic outlaw influences like Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson alongside neo-traditionalists like George Strait. He began releasing music at the tail end of the 2010s, then issued his first EP, Neon Dreams, in 2020. His marriage of honky tonk and '80s country vibes found a willing fan base, who slowly caught on over the next few years. He duetted with Triston Marez on 2021's "Settle for a Beer" and continued releasing singles like "I'm Not Him," "Give Me a Sunrise," and "Honky Tonk City." 2024's "Cozy" became one of his most widely heard songs and helped him earn a deal with major-label Warner Music Nashville. The track later anchored Keith's label debut, Blue, a five-song EP that arrived at the end of the year. ~ Timothy Monger
