Some kids want the latest iPhone, some kids want the latest video game, and then there’s Jeffrey Li; a 13-year-old contestant from Toronto, Canada. Li appeared on America’s Got Talent on Monday (6/20) with hopes to floor judges by performing Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up”. When asked by the judges what he would spend the $1 million prize money on, Li shared he was an only child before gleefully responding he’d buy a dog!
The infamous “King of Mean” judge, Simon Cowell had an unexpected but kindhearted response.
“If you do well, I’m gonna buy you a dog.”
“Thank you!” Li cheerfully responded.
