Brett Young is the new face of Justin Timberlake's clothing company William Rast, adding another layer to his already accomplished portfolio.
Brett Young: "I haven't met Justin yet. We were in New York to meet with the company that put William Rast together and connected Justin to that, and you know Justin's obviously a partner. And so when I was going in thinking we were going to maybe discuss a project of my own, they were looking for somebody to come in as the face of William Rast. And I have no experience in the fashion world. I didn't know what I was doing. Luckily we had a phenomenal photographer, Boo George, who just would basically scream instructions at me until I got one of 'em right and then he told me to sit still until he got the picture he needed."
Garth Brooks did an interview before his Notre Dame concert last Saturday. They asked how he's feeling after 33 years as an entertainer.
Garth quoted one of the best country musicians of all time and said, "I think George Strait said it best in 'Troubadour': 'I still feel 25.' I do. I still always feel like the guy just starting out. We're still just boys from Oklahoma and Kansas playing music."
He added, "Time changes, but you don’t. Nobody really changes. When you see someone who has changed since becoming an artist, they might just be revealing who they really are. Because nobody changes."
I love that Garth is putting that out there. He’s one of the biggest stars in the world and just said, if a celebrity turns into a jerk after they become famous, it's because they were a jerk before they were famous. They just faked it on the way up. Boom. Garth dropping some truth!
And also in case you didn't know the concert was filmed for a TV special. It's called "Garth: Live at Notre Dame!" and it airs December 2nd on CBS.
We’ve heard country artists say this before but now I feel like we can never say it too much. Never, ever believe a celebrity social media account is real unless it has a blue-check verification.
Sadly, one Chris Stapleton fan didn’t hear about these warnings and fell victim to a scam. She went to a concert of his in Ohio, looked up the alleged Chris Stapleton on Facebook and that’s where she found out she could message him and thought that was so cool.
From there things took a wrong turn. She received responses from the fake Chris in which he thanked her for her messages, talked to her, and complimented her good looks. She then confided in the fake Chris and told him she needed money to deal with health issues, he said he could help her but requested she help first by sending iTunes gift cards and told her it was to help out an orphanage.
She sent more than $500 in gift cards, then realized too late that the account she'd been messaging had vanished. The fan said, "I was in tears so many times because I couldn't believe that somebody wanted to help me". She has now set up a GoFund Me page to help with her medical expenses rather than attempt messaging another celebrity.
