Tonight is the night! Yes of course the Y100 Bud Light 8 Man Jam is tonight, but don't forget to set your DVR for the two-hour "Christmas at Rockefeller Center" special at 7pm on NBC.
It's the 86th annual tree lighting ceremony including performances from Diana Ross, Pentatonix, John Legend, Tony Bennett, Martina McBride, Brett Eldredge, and ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, the kid who won "America's Got Talent".
Michael Ray is a "tattoo guy." He's got a lot of them, and each one probably has a pretty good story. His new one comes with a VERY good story. It's a tattoo on his arm of a penny with the year 1945 inked underneath.
He said, "When my grandfather passed away, I was up late doing his obituary and the slide show for his funeral. At about 3:00 in morning, there was this typical, this-cannot-get-any-worse moment. Everything was going wrong.
"I said to him, 'You've got to give me a sign.' I looked down and saw a penny on the ground. My grandmother's nickname was Penny. I picked that penny up, and now anytime anything monumental happens, I find another penny."
He's not exaggerating. He's played the Grand Ole Opry 35 times, and has found a penny every single time. He said, "I've always found them randomly before I walk onstage."
Last night on The Voice might have been a bit of a nail-biter for viewers, as the Top 10 finalists were set to be revealed. However, those who are on Team Blake had not much to worry about—and, spoiler—didn't have anything to worry about, as Blake's team moved through unscathed.
In true form, Blake enlisted his boys—Kirk Jay, Chris, and Dave Fenley—to entertain the audience with an all-country number, 1983's "Dixieland Delight" by Alabama. And, of course, Blake joined in as well, putting his twang on a song that can inarguably handle more than its share.
