Music City Minute: Blake Shelton, Sam Hunt, Big & Rich

Blake Shelton may have celebrated his birthday yesterday, but the party actually got underway a few days earlier. Gwen Stefani marked her man's b-day with a weekend-long party, which also combined a Father's Day celebration with her dad, Dennis. Gwen shared videos from their celebration on her Instagram Stories, including the family singing "Happy Birthday" to Blake and then Blake returned the favor by serenading them with Alabama's "Dixieland Delight." And birthday fun continued on Monday, with Gwen surprising Blake with a brand new flag pole that had just been installed on the property.
Blake was also given a large Smithworks Vodka birthday cake, which he wasted no time taking a big bite out of. Watch the video here:

A picture of Gwen and Blake posing in front of his new flag pole was also shared:

Sam Hunt's busy schedule has given him less time to work on his new album, but he says there is a timeline in place:

Sam Hunt: "I didn't plan on touring this summer, but an opportunity came up to go out with Luke Bryan and I couldn't pass it up because it was such a great opportunity. But at the end of the summer [or] fall, I think I'm gonna be able to, hopefully, be able to sink my teeth into a project and have some new music ready to go before too long after that."

Big & Rich revealed some exciting news during the 2018 Country Jam Festival in Colorado over the weekend. During an interview with Taste of Country ahead of their set, John Rich asked a crowd of fans in front of him if they'd watch a reality series called Living Big & Rich. John further explained that they were working on the series with actor Mark Wahlberg, who will serve as the show's executive director. Rich also says that the duo, with the assistance of Cowboy Troy, is currently shooting the show's pilot and hopes to debut the series this fall. There's no word on which network it would air on.
