Plan to leave early if you’re traveling on I-35 this weekend! The Texas Department of Transportation shared plans to close all lanes in BOTH directions at Farm-to-Market 1103 in Schertz starting 9:00pm Saturday until 3:00pm Sunday. If you’re going to be driving through this area expect to remain on the frontage road through FM 1103 and re-enter the highway.
The closures will go in effect this weekend due to a $7.2 million project that involves expanding the FM 1103 bridge over I-35 to five lanes and U-turn bridges. The construction is scheduled for completion in summer of 2019.
