Michael Ray joined J.R. & Beth in the Morning to share the intimate details behind his proposal to Carly Pearce... and he doesn’t hold back! From hiding the ring to the emotions he had to fight back leading up to the moment, Michael says proposing was a lot more challenging than he thought it’d be.

“The hardest part for me was watching her,” said Ray, “my friends told me it starts getting emotional and I’m like ‘no way.’”

Luckily for him, Michael didn’t embark on this mission alone!

“Her mom helped me set up the whole thing and then her mom...   really really lied - like went above and beyond lying to her to make sure she has no idea this is happening.”
