Meanwhile, NASA shared its own video explaining exactly how Thanksgiving dinner makes its way to space.

NASA astronaut Kate Rubins, alongside Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, arrived at the ISS Oct. 14, was joined Nov. 16 by NASA astronauts Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Mike Hopkins and Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Soichi Noguchi, Space.com reported.

Rubins spoke first in the video, “explaining how truly out-of-this-world” the crew’s festivities would be, the outlet reported.

“We are zooming above the planet at 17,500 miles an hour, but we still get to have Thanksgiving up here,” Rubins said.

“This is the highest party room on Earth!” Noguchi, holding a handful of food pouches, added.

The crew also said in the video that they intend to make calls home before the holiday concludes.

“I think it’s very likely that we will have another American tradition, and we will be streaming football to watch up here,” Walker added.
