A Utah woman died Thursday when she was pulled into one of the machines at the mattress factory where she worked, authorities said.
The 52-year-old woman, who was not identified by police, got her arm stuck in a machine at the Purple Mattress manufacturing facility in Grantsville at about 4:41 p.m. MDT, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.
The first police officer arrived three minutes later, Sgt. Jeff Watson with the Grantsville Department told KUTV.

Watson said the woman was standing near a machine and was “pulled in,” the television station reported. First responders were unable to revive her after she was freed from the machine, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, KUTV reported.
The woman’s body was taken by the Office of the Utah Medical Examiner, which will investigate her death, the television station reported. Watson said there is video of the incident, and it will be examined as part of the investigation.
“The health and safety of every employee is my highest concern. What happened today should never happen again,” Purple Mattress CEO Joe Megibow said in a statement. “We have shut down Grantsville production until we can assess what happened and are investigating every aspect of our manufacturing process to determine what we need to look at immediately and over the coming months.”
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating, the Tribune reported.
