ATLANTA —

Atlanta’s most talked-about temporary landmark just made its way back into the spotlight — on the sanctuary stage of the dReam Center Church of Atlanta, that is.

In an effort to “Make the Church Relevant Again,” church leaders took a marketing tip from Atlanta-based hip-hop star 2 Chainz himself and decorated their sanctuary with a miniature Pink Trap House, a pink stove and a pink toy car.

The church shared its one-of-a-kind service led by Bishop William Murphy on Facebook Live and as of Monday morning, the post has garnered nearly 30,000 views.

Viewers and attendees alike lauded Bishop’s and the dReam Center Church’s unique way of attracting the youth for its Sunday service.

And 2 Chainz himself took to Instagram to praise the service, writing, “I think it’s dope to be used by God in different ways.”

2 Chainz’ Pink Trap House, a flipped home at 1530 Howell Mill painted pink to mimic his album’s cover art, was a hot Instagram spot last month.

The artist, currently performing in a pink wheelchair after breaking his leg on tour, initially used the venue to host a listening party to promote his project with actress and writer Issa Rae, “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.”

But the house was also used as a site for free HIV testing and for a “Trap Church” event hosted by Street Groomers, a neighborhood watch group and local faith leaders such as Michael Wortham, minister of young adults at Atlanta’s historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Anyone who told 2 Chainz to “break a leg” heading into his tour kickoff might want to refrain from such wishes in the future.

The Atlanta rapper has postponed his “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” tour, which was slated to begin in his hometown Tuesday after injuring his knee over the weekend.

Because of that injury, 2 Chainz is rescheduling the first five dates of his tour, which will now launch Aug. 9 in Arizona.

The rapper was previously scheduled to perform in Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, Dallas and Austin, Texas, between Aug. 1 and Aug. 6.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the five rescheduled dates once they are confirmed. More information will be available soon at www.2chainz.com

Shortly after the June 16 release of his third studio album, also called “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music,” 2 Chainz pulled off a brilliant marketing stunt with the creation of The Pink Trap House in Atlanta.

For weeks, the rental property turned into a tourist attraction as fans lined up to take photos at the pink-painted home that mirrors the cover of the “…Trap Music” album.

The lease on the home expired July 7 and 2 Chainz’s team planned to repaint the structure white.

2 Chainz, a popular surprise guest at many area concerts, played Atlanta in June at the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash.

Since 2 Chainz created the Pink Trap House in June, it has become a social landmark for Atlantans. But the rapper doesn’t want it to just be a cool place to take selfies. He also wants it to be a spot that offers free HIV testing.

For the July 4th holiday, he’s turned it into the Trap Clinic. He provided free HIV testing for visitors who drop by the Atlanta site, located at 1530 Howell Mill, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the Fulton County Board of Health, Atlanta AIDS and Test Atlanta, the event also had educational packets, games and giveaways.

The rapper posted a flyer on his Instagram page Tuesday, writing, “Come get tested and know your status! By the way this is Free99.”

The Trap Clinic isn’t the only community service event he’s hosted there since flipping the rental home to throw a listening party for his latest project, “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.

On Sunday, the site became the Trap Church, where social activists gathered to encourage citizens to get involved with local organizations.

Daily, the Pink Trap House is an art gallery.

With paintings of Andre 3000Tupac and other Atlanta landmarks, the gallery offers people a chance to take in the beautiful work or add a new piece to their own collection.

For weeks, the Pink Trap House has been garnering national attention as fans from across the country have lined up in droves just to snap pictures there. It has been dubbed as the “first hip-hop monument of Atlanta.”

Haven’t taken a trip yet? It’ll be up until July 7.

For the event, he purchased a home, painting it pink and writing the word “Trap” on the front to mimic his album’s cover art.

While the event ended more than a week ago, the house is still decorated. There’s no word on whether it will be used for future gatherings, but locals have been stopping to pose in front of what has now been deemed as the #PinkTrapHouse.

There’s even an entire Instagram page for it. Take a look at some of the posts below.
