Music City Minute: Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood

Luke Bryan says he and wife Caroline have been very open with their kids throughout this pandemic, and they continue to do so as the boys prepare to go back to school.

Luke says, "We don't sugarcoat what's going on in society. I mean, we don't tell 'em...We insulate them and don't shock 'em with stuff. But what this is, we tell 'em that, 'You're gonna go back to school and you're going to have some buddies that don't have to go to school and sorry, that don't apply to you. Your school is allowing school,' and, 'Go back and enjoy it and make the most of it.' And I think they're taking it in stride."

Speaking of back to school, Luke & Caroline’s nephew Til just went off to college and Caroline shared an emotional photo and post on Instagram earlier this week.

It’s the best when country artists show us they’re just normal humans. Tim McGraw recently shared he’s been crying a lot lately.

He says the craziness of the pandemic combined with growing older has turned him into an emotional wreck.

Tim went on to say, "At 53, I probably don't self-examine as much as I should, but I think I'm learning that I'm getting more and more emotional… about everything.

"And maybe I've been heading that direction for a while but maybe this time has really sped that process up.  I mean, I can cry at commercials now.  It's ridiculous."

Tim McGraw’s new album “Here on Earth” drops August 21st, so we’ll see if he shares an emotional post when that comes out, we love you Tim!!!

In case you missed it Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike went fishing over the weekend. Mike shared a photo on his Instagram of his fish and Carrie’s fish, and let’s just say Carrie won.

The caption said, “This past weekend we were able to get away for some good quality time! One thing we love to do together is fly fish, but the thing I don’t like about it is she catches bigger fish:) #flyfishing”
