Music City Minute CMA Awards Performers, Dan+Shay, Carly Pearce

The Country Music Association announced that next month’s CMAs will NOT be virtual… they’re gathering everyone “together, safely, in one room, for the first time this year.” They insist that it will be a, “fully safe and physically distant environment.”

The first round of performers have been announced. Hosts Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker will take the stage together, and Darius will also take the stage with Lady A.

Other performers will include: Gabby Barrett with Charlie Puth, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, Rascal Flatts, and Thomas Rhett.

The CMAs will broadcast live from Nashville’s Music City Center Wednesday, November 11th on ABC.

Dan+Shay shared a new song on Instagram yesterday the caption said, “This song is for Asher + Ames” Shay’s sons. The lyrics go on to tell a beautiful story of Shay’s wife Hannah. It turns out the song is from the movie “The Shack” back in 2017 but since they just posted it, this is a sign it could be their next single.

It’s going to be SO fun seeing all of our favorite country artists get dressed up for Halloween! Jason Aldean talked about his family going as Carole Baskin, Joe Exotic, and dressing the kids up as tigers but who knows if they will follow through. Luke Bryan and his wife so an epic costume every year and they’ve been teasing that this year’s will be good.

Carly Pearce says her choice would be pretty easy:

“I would have to be Dolly. I don’t think anybody would be shocked. I would have to have a lot of sparkles. I would need a really blonde wig, and I would need for it to be really teased. And then I would also need help...right here [points to her chest area]...like a lot, like maybe two watermelons, I’m not sure. A lot of help right here.”

Brantley Gilbert said this year he’s not sure what the kids will be dressed up as but he’s definitely willing to get dressed up for them:

“Bray (daughter Braylen) was a tiny baby this past year, and she was a deer and he (son Barrett) was a hunter. So, I can only imagine what’s gonna go down this year with costumes. But, who knows? These two little ones mean everything in the world to me, so dad may have to put on a costume before it’s over with. But as of right now, I don’t plan to.”
