Country Artists Testing Positive For COVID-19

The CMA Awards are Wednesday night and country artists are going through the proper protocols to be able to appear on the show. This will be the first live award show with people in the crowd, so everyone is required to get a COVID test.

Lee Brice tested positive for COVID-19 and will not perform on the show as scheduled. He was tested before rehearsals and the test came back positive. According to a rep for Lee, he is “in good spirits and not experiencing any symptoms” and will be quarantining at home until getting an all-clear from his doctor.

Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line just shared on his Instagram that he too, also tested positive for COVID-19, but is showing no symptoms. This now means Florida Georgia Line will no longer be performing on the show.

Beth was born and raised in the beach town of Jacksonville, Florida where she grew up listening to country music! Beth’s Mom always tells the story of how Beth would listen to the radio on her giant yellow AM/FM headset every night and belt out Brooks & Dunn’s “My Maria” – it’s one of Beth’s favorite memories.
