Music City Minute: News On Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, & Kix Brooks!

Jason Aldean is sharing a collection of stories about the people closest to him in a new book titled Family, Friends and Fans. Written with Tom Carter, Jason's first book explores his rise to fame and also chronicles the lessons he's learned from several special people in his life and career. The book will give a glimpse inside Aldean's relationships with everyone from his parents and producer to his band members and wife Brittany. Family, Friends and Fans is available now and can be found here.

This is interesting, Carrie Underwood is being sued for copyright infringement in a lawsuit brought by two Canadian songwriters. Apparently two song writers claim that they composed the chorus, melody and lyrics to a song titled "Something in the Water" in August of 2012 and pitched it to Carrie's team the next month. The songwriters allege that the hook of the song they wrote is identical to the one in Carrie's song "Something in the Water," which appears on her 2014 album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1. The plaintiffs are reportedly asking for a jury trial and any profits the song has generated. We'll definitely keep you posted on how this plays out.

This is pretty hilarious apparently someone hacked Kix Brooks Facebook and was sending messages to a bunch of Kix’s friends asking if they are single and to shoot him a text. Well, the hacker isn’t very smart sent the message to Kix Brooks wife!
