Music City Minute: Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, FGL, *NSYNC, & Sugarland

One person you don’t want to mess with when it comes to hockey is Carrie Underwood. As we know, she’s married to Mike Fisher, who is currently in the middle of a playoff series with his team the Nashville Predators, against the Winnipeg Jets.

Well. it looks like Carrie Underwood has been given a challenge by pro wrestler Chris Jericho. It turns out Chris’s Dad was a pro NHL player and he’s a super fan of the Winnipeg Jets and recently posted a challenge to Carrie on Instagram that says, “A $10,000 bet as to which team would win the second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series.”

Chris went on to say, “If she’s a proud Nashville Predators fan, half as much as she claims to be, she’ll have no problem doing a friendly wager,” even mentioning the money could go to charity, which sounds friendly right!? Well, then he went on to say Carrie is “married to a fourth line bench warmer” – surely this is all in the spirit of good old-fashioned rivalry fun, but maybe he crossed the line? We’ll keep you posted.

Carrie hasn’t responded yet.

The drama continues! Blake Shelton sent the rumor mill spinning last week when he posted a tweet saying, "Been taking the high road for a long time...I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It's karma!!"

Of course this lead to a lot of people self-interpreting Blake's tweet thinking it was in response to rumors that Miranda is dating Turnpike Troubadours lead singer Evan Felker, who reportedly filed for divorce from his wife in February. But, Blake says ya'll ain't even close:

Blake Shelton: "If it was meant for people to know exactly what it meant, it wouldn't have been so cryptic. Why would I say that? But I can tell you it's been, actually, very entertaining to watch the world run with it and assume what they think it's about."

Florida Georgia Line has been working hard on their fourth album and Tyler says each album has a certain evolution:

(Tyler Hubbard) "I think it's pretty simple. I think with every album we do we just try to evolve as our life has, try to write the best songs that we possibly can and find the best songs that we possibly can between the last album and the current album, and just record the best songs that we can find."

And in other news, by the way this totally classifies as country news because Justin Timberlake is from Tennessee. *NSYNC along with Justin Timberlake were on the "Ellen" show yesterday and played a heated game of "Never Have I Ever". Justin admitted that he once hooked up with a Spice Girl! He didn't say which one, but in a 2004 interview, Emma Bunton who was "Baby Spice" pretty much admitted it was her.

And tonight make sure you watch Jimmy Kimmel Live, Sugarland will be on the show!
