A photo of a woman's legs has some internet users wondering if their eyes are playing tricks on them.
An optical illusion reminiscent of the Blue Dress, White Dress controversy has some asking whether the woman's legs are shiny -- potentially oversaturated with oil or lotion -- or marked with white paint.
"Why are your legs so shiny?" one commenter asked.
One person said the photo looks like the woman is wearing "plastic tights."
Others were sure that markings in the photo showed paint.
"Without a doubt, white paint," one person wrote.
@kingkayden Without a doubt, white paint. There are no light reflections or distortions on the legs as there would be if oiled.
The caption for the photo, which was originally posted on Instagram in September, tells the answer.
"I like the feeling of paint on my skin," the Instagram user wrote.
@kingkayden once my eyes focused, I saw the paint. Now I can't see the shininess anymore
