Music City Minute: Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery

It’s the first day of school for a lot of students in SA and Dierks Bentley knows exactly what it’s like because he has a 4 year old, 7 year old, and 9 year old. He says, “Back to school for kids is kind of like back to school for me, it’s like time for me to get back in gear too, I usually work out really early from 5-5:50 and so I get up at 4:45 when school is back in session, so I come back in the house with peak energy ready to rock for them”.

And like any normal parent he struggles with getting the kids out the door on time saying, “From about 6 to 6:15 or 6:20 if you’re at 6:25 you’re going to hit traffic so you have to be right there that last like 10 minutes is like ‘guys if we don’t get out the door right now we’re going to be stuck’ so there’s a very fine window for making it to school on time.”

We’ll have more tickets to see Dierks Bentley with LANCO and Brothers Osbourne September 20th at the Austin 360 Amphitheater all week at 11:10!

Miranda Lambert’s boyfriend, Turnpike Troubadours frontman Evan Felker, has finalized his divorce from his wife, Staci Felker, according to a new report.

A source says that the couple's marriage officially ended earlier this week, saying, “Staci feels free and relieved" now that the situation is resolved. And Miranda is happy that Evan is now “all hers”.

Scotty McCreery fans he will hit the road this fall and winter for his headlining Seasons Change Tour. It’s a 13 day tour named after his 2018 album, and will kick off November 29th in Dallas and will stop in San Antonio November 30th at the Aztec Theatre. Tickets go on sale August 24th 10 a.m.!

Music City Minute: Luke Combs, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert

This might actually be one of my most favorite things of all time! Ya’ll known I’m a huge Luke Combs fan, well this made me love him even more. He did an interview recently with ABC News and he confessed he was a fan of boy bands back in the 90’s! Then he went on to sing a piece of *NSYNC’s “God Must’ve Spent A Little More Time On You” and I lost it, it’s amazing.

The death of Aretha Franklin resonated through the country community yesterday. Tons of artists went on social media to pay tribute and share stories of how she affected their lives.

Reba McEntire talked about finding inspiration. She Tweeted, "I've had so many influences in my life, and one is the Queen of Soul. Rest in peace, Aretha." She included a link to her 1988 CMA Awards performance of "Respect"

Willie Nelson hit up Twitter to say: "Whether it was gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, pop, or civil rights, Aretha [could] turn any song into a hymn. She'll be greatly missed here on earth, but that band in heaven just got our Angel. Rest in peace."

Miranda Lambert kept it simple, writing, "The greatest of all time."

Faith Hill included a photo, and wrote: "The choir of angels now have the greatest voice of all time to lead, praise, and join in to sing before Jesus. I wanted to share this photo because it shows just how soulful Aretha was without uttering a word. To say I was humbled to be in her presence would be an understatement."

And Margo Price may have said it best with this: "Legends never die."

Music City Minute: Jason Aldean, Midland, Maren Morris

A fairy-tale scenario happened for a young couple over the weekend, 21-year-old Jess McCormack, is a Jason Aldean fan and her boyfriend, Alex Borsari, took her to his New York City concert at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 11th.

When Jason broke into his romantic song "You Make it Easy," Alex led his girl to the aisle and dropped down on one knee, causing the crowd to roar with excitement. The couple were then led by security down to the stage area, where they were addressed by Jason, who shared his blessings with them!

Midland gave their list of the nine best honky-tonks in America. Granted, they're all in places where they've toured and spent time. And half of them are in Texas. So yeah… it's a LITTLE biased. But they're all solid choices.

1. Poodie's Roadhouse Driftwood, Texas

2. Billy Bob's Ft. Worth, Texas

3. Broken Spoke Austin, Texas

4. Luckenbach Luckenbach, Texas

5. Million Dollar Cowboy Bar Jackson Hole, Wyoming

6. Grizzly Rose Denver, Colorado

7. Gruene Hall Gruene, Texas

8. Buck Owen's Crystal Palace Bakersfield, California

9. The Troubadour West Hollywood, California.

Which isn't really a honky-tonk, but it's Los Angeles, so what can you do. Plus it's legendary.

Maren Morris did a Q&A with her Twitter followers while she was stuck on a plane, drinking wine. And we learned some interesting things.

1. She wishes she could've played a 'White Walker" on "Game of Thrones".

2. She wishes she'd written "Love Yourself"by Justin Bieber.

3. The best advice she's ever gotten is "Always wear underwear."

4. The hardest part of being in the music industry is, quote, "Being young. Being a woman. And being different."

5. Her favorite drink is tequila and soda. Preferably Casamigos tequila.

6. Her dream collaboration would be with Freddie Mercuryof Queen.

7. Her favorite place is London, England. But she also loves France. Although she almost got ARRESTED there.

8. Oh, and she plans to have a baby next year.

Music City Minute: Forbes Highest Paid Country Stars, George Strait, Florida Georgia Line

Garth Brooks, $45.5 million3. Kenny Chesney, $37 million4. Zac Brown Band, $31 million5. Blake Shelton, $28 millionLuke Bryan dethroned Garth Brooks in the top spot by raking in the majority of his income from his headlining tour – which routinely grossed seven figures nighty, plus his role as a judge on American Idol and his endorsement deal with Chevy.Garth made most of his $45.5 million from his World Tour, while Kenny collected his big bucks from his Trip Around the Sun Tour, endorsements with Corona and his own Blue Chair Rum. George Strait super fans his San Antonio mansion now has an asking price! The King’s stunning home is a massive 8,675-square-feet and the market last year without a public price tag.

Now, the Zillow listing for the home at 10 Davenport Lane includes a cost of $10 million.

The Bexar County Appraisal District values the home at $4,118,980.

And if you missed the guys of Florida Georgia Line last night on The Late Late Show with James Corden check out their performance of “Simple”!

Music City Minute: Carly Pearce, Cassadee Pope, Luke Combs, & FGL

Remember the whole thing about Carly Pearce wanting to get with Michael Ray, so she slid into his DMs so he'd notice her? Turns out there's a whole chain of advice that led to it.

She heard about it from Cassadee Pope who used that technique on her current boyfriend, "Nashville" star Sam Palladio. And Cassadee was tipped-off to it from Mandy Moore.

Cassadee said, "I was inspired by Mandy. She met her husband through slipping into the [DMs], so that was kind of like an inspiration. So now I get to pass on the knowledge and experience to Carly.

"I thought it was so funny that she talked about it. I didn't even remember that I told her that's how I met Sam, or that that's how we started dating. I wasn't telling her to give her advice I was just talking about how I met him. And so it was really funny."

And if you’ve missed Cassadee Pope: She just released her new single, "One More Red Light".

And Luke Combs fans if you’re loving his new song “She Got The Best of Me” you have to check out the video! It has a lot of cool inside things you might recognize. There are shots of his Boone, North Carolina hometown, cameos from his band members… and even the Dodge Neon he drove when he moved to Nashville.

Tonight on TV you don’t wanna miss Florida Georgia Line on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

And randomly, I thought this was great, no affiliation with country music but there’s a show/movie called “Santa Jaws” that’s coming on the Syfy channel at 8pm and it’s all about “a guy who makes a wish to be alone for Christmas has to try to save his family after the wish backfires and a shark attacks them.” I can’t. Here’s the movie poster.

Music City Minute: LoCash,  Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Jason Aldean

Preston Brust’s wife went into early labor, so LoCash had to cancel their show in Marysville, Ohio on Friday. The news came suddenly so Preston had to take several flights to get back to Nashville.

Fortunately, he made it to the delivery room in time to be with his wife Kristen when she gave birth. Their son Legend Wilde was born on Friday. He's their second child. They also have a two-year-old daughter named Love Lily.

You can read all about the exciting news here. According to their website, they're still scheduled for tonight's show in Norwalk, Ohio.

And speaking of LoCash, their new song is called “Feels Like A Party” and they co-wrote with Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard.

Some other fun things that happened over the weekend:

Carrie Underwood posted a photo of herself as she's about to go on stage at the Grand Ole Opry and you can see her tiny baby bump.

Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline celebrated their son Tate's eighth birthday on Saturday, and the party included a homemade slip-n-slide.Both Luke and Caroline shared videos of their tandem slide as they were dragged along a wet tarp on a shark-shaped raft by a tractor.

And Thomas Rhett posted a super cute photo yesterday of his daughter Ada wearing one of his hats. They were celebrating a special occasion. He wrote, "Happy first birthday sweet baby girl. I love you so much it hurts."

And Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany revealed they’re having a baby girl! They both knew and made the announcement special for Kendyl & Keeley!

Cody Johnson “On My Way To You”

Cody Johnson said he went through around 1,000 songs and this was one of the first 10 he heard and his favorite! It will be on his new album out later this year!

Take a listen to “On My Way To You” and be sure to vote for it using the Y100 App!

Music City Minute: Chris Stapleton, AJ McLean, Dan + Shay

So, you remember a while back we told you AJ McLean from The Backstreet Boys was trying to get into country? AJ actually said he was coming to country music to “disrupt country” and “shake things up” – listen I’m a fan of The Backstreet Boys but he’s sounding a bit cocky here.

And that’s why I don’t feel bad at all doing this. Recently AJ covered a Chris Stapleton song called “Drunkard’s Prayer” now you know if you’re covering Chris Stapleton you better knock it out of the park. Well let’s see how AJ did. Here’s Chris Stapleton’s song:

Now here’s AJ McLean’s cover:

What do you think?

Everyone is loving Dan + Shay’s song “Tequila” so much that it just became their 4th number one, probably because it’s amazing. I thought this was SO cool and kind of magical, the guys released the isolated vocals from the song, and it’s going to give you goosebumps.

Did Kawhi Leonard Author His ‘Thank You’ Letter?

Basketball analyst and former NCAA standout, Jay Williams along with former NBA player, Jalen Rose spoke on ESPN’s round-table show ‘Get Up!’ to share their thoughts on Kawhi Leonard’s letter to the Spurs and their fans.

While Kawhi’s “team” was at the forefront of managing his “trade request” from San Antonio, it was Kawhi’s infamous Uncle Dennis who took the spotlight. From rumors about Leonard’s uncle hiding him from Spurs doctors to standing between him and contract negotiations, many believe Dennis was the one pulling the strings behind the saga as he advocated for his All-Star nephew to return close to home to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.

On Thursday (8/9/18), Leonard released a letter thanking fans and the Spurs organization. Longtime fans of the Spurs took this letter with a grain of salt... many ridiculing the All-Star for deciding to wait on speaking until the dust settled.

Some fans even joked that Leonard may not even have written the letter himself -- but when you consider Kawhi’s personality like Williams does; is it possible that Kawhi may not have written this letter after all? Was this an attempt by Kawhi’s camp at repairing his image after a tumultuous season followed by a stalemate of a summer with the Spurs?

Music City Minute: CMA Fest Recap + New Kane Brown Music!

Music City Minute: Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini

This is one of the best stories I’ve read in a long time. You never know who you’ll be able to help when they need it right? Well, a New Jersey woman figured she would help pay the tab of a man who couldn’t afford his meal at a gas station convenience store.

Ruth Reed was at a Medford, New Jersey, gas station Friday night. And so was Keith Urban, he was on his way to his concert in Camden.

Mrs. Reed is a substitute teacher and had made a resolution to help customers she ran into at the gas station. When she was waiting to check out, the man in front of her was a few bucks short for his bill, so she paid the remainder.

He thanked her, saying that his name was Keith. That’s when she told him he resembled Keith Urban. Turns out, he more than resembled the singer, but she didn’t believe he was who he said he was. But Keith’s bodyguard confirmed his identity.

“It was then I realized what an idiot I was,” she said.

Of course the story has gone viral. One of her former students posted on Twitter, “My favorite story of the day is how my 3rd grade teacher thought Keith Urban was down on his luck and couldn’t pay for his Wawa snacks so she bought them for him. What an angel.”

Speaking of Keith Urban, he will be an advisor for Blake Shelton's team on Season 15 of "The Voice"!Thomas Rhett, Halsey and CeeLo Green will also serve as advisors on the upcoming season which premieres on September 24 on NBC.

If you weren’t lucky enough to be one of the thousands of fans that descended on Nashville during each day of CMA Fest in June, Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini have you covered.Kelsea and TR will co-host an upcoming three-hour television special on ABC that features 2018 CMA Fest performances from a bevy of artists, including Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Midland, Old Dominion, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Brett Young.Special guest collaborations include Lauren Alaina joining Kane Brown, Julia Michaels joining Keith Urban, Morgan Wallen joining Florida Georgia Line, and Dwight Yoakam joining Dierks Bentley.Tune in to ABC tonight at 7 p.m. CT to catch the 15th annual prime-time broadcast.

Music City Minute: Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Dollywood

Carrie Underwood fans her new album will be out soon, and of course she’s super excited to share it! The Carrie Underwood we’re used to is the sweet girl next door that kind of sings about dishing out the pain. You know like her songs "Before He Cheats""Two Black Cadillacs", and "Dirty Laundry"

It sounds like she’s in a different place now and that won't be getting any of the 'evil Carrie' on her new album. She says, "I don't think I kill anybody off on this one. I know. It's so unlike me. Everybody lives at the end."

There'll be drama, but it'll be reality-based. Carrie says, "I feel like just me and where I am in my life. Just going through this crazy life that we go through. I've grown up a lot and I feel like 'the drama' is more real-life."

She says this album's songwriting was influenced by her son Isaiah and her husband Mike Fisher and goes on to say, "You draw off of personal experiences and people you know. Your life influences your music."

"Cry Pretty" will be out September 14th.

We've been hearing a lot about the Carly Pearce – Michael Ray love affair… but did you know Carly Pearce has another love? It’s running. It's one of those things that she's driven to do.

She says it’s a must-have when she's on tour, "I'm a big runner so I always have to do that. I've kind of found a new love in running arena stairs so we'll see if I keep that up as I keep going this summer."

She also talked about distance running, but says she has her limits "I've never done a marathon. I've done several half marathons, which is 13.1 miles."

She's been tempted to do the full 26.2 miles, but she knows her capabilities and doesn't let herself "get cocky" and think she can tackle one of those.

She said "I don't know that I would ever do a full marathon, but I love halves and hope to continue to do them."

After teasing a big announcement on their Instagram over the past few weeks, during a media event on Aug. 3rd Dolly Parton revealed plans for a $37-million expansion dubbed Wildwood Grove at her Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.Wildwood Grove, which is slated to open in 2019, represents the largest capital investment in Dollywood's 32-year history. Wildwood Grove will feature 11 new experiences for guests, including a new restaurant, climbing structure and roller coaster called the Dragonflier."This area is going to give families a place to explore, play and imagine together--but more importantly--it's a place where they can spend more time together," Dolly said. "I believe everyone has a song in their heart that needs to be set free. Wildwood Grove will be a place where families can learn together about what their heart song truly is."Wildwood Grove's Featured Attractions:1. Wildwood Tree: A 55-foot tree that grows from a cluster of natural rocks and boulders, which will serve as the area's focal point and feature a nighttime show and concerts. Its canopy will be adorned with thousands of butterflies.2. The Dragonflier: A suspended 453-meter roller coaster that lets guests soar like a dragonfly.3. Black Bear Trail: A ride where kids can hop on the backs of mechanical bears for a trek around the area.4. Sycamore Swing: A leaf boat swing which will swing guests back and forth.5. Treetop Tower: A ride that sends guests 40 feet into the air in giant acorns and spins them around to see the Smoky Mountains.6. Mad Mockingbird: A ride that spins guests in circles, and they can control their experience by moving a sail.7. Frogs & Fireflies: A ride where guests can hop on frogs and ride them as they race each other around a lily pad.8. Hidden Hollow: A 4,000-foot indoor, climate controlled climb structure with slides and games.9. Wildwood Creek: An oasis with pop jets and splashing pools.10. Four new costumed characters and entertainment including Flit and Flutter, butterfly ambassadors for the Wildwood Tree, and Benjamin Bear.11. Till & Harvest: A restaurant featuring fresh Southwest items including burritos, salads, pulled pork, slaw, a topping bar with salsas and a walk-up window with churros and ice cream.

Music City Minute: Tyler Farr, Little Big Town, & Kelsea Ballerini

Something pretty crazy happened over the weekend in Minnesota at a Tyler Farr concert. A security guard thought Tyler Farr was a fan going into a restricted area… so he took him down.

He had jumped into the crowd to mix it up with the fans. Obviously, the security guy didn't recognize him.

Tyler told said, "He was about 6' 5", and about 350 pounds. I think. I didn't know what was going on. I was mad as hell, but yeah, he took me out."

The crew had to convince the guard that he pounced on the wrong guy before he'd let him up.

Tyler didn't get away clean, though. He said he had, "A sprained ankle and a big thump on the head later, and a little visit to the ER, and we're good to go."

Some thieves in Nashville stole one of Little Big Town’s trailers last week… but they didn't exactly score big. Police eventually found the trailer, and although it's not clear what was taken from inside… there wasn't much in the first place.

The group posted this on Instagram:

Kelsea Ballerini opened up about her new friend, Halsey. Although they first met a while back, they didn't connect until she and some friends went to Halsey's show in Nashville last month.

She said, "I'm obviously a really big fan of her music, so I went to the show with my friends and afterwards said hi, and she didn't have a show the next day, so she was like, 'Let's go hang.’ And I was like, 'Yep. '"

That's the night they ended up knocking down some beers, doing karaoke . . . and then posting pics of it on social media.

She said, "We just hung out a few places in Nashville. We're both really similar in age and had a lot to talk about… it was cool to be around someone who's so creative and so driven and so down-to-earth.

"She really is so lovely. I feel like I made a new friend." Kelsea's 24, and Halsey is 23.

Music City Minute: Danielle Bradbery, Thomas Rhett, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan

It’s new music Friday and we are so excited for this new duet with Danielle Bradbery and Thomas Rhett! The song is called “Goodbye Summer” and their voices go perfectly together in the harmonies of the song.

It’s official Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are doing it again! They’ll host the 52nd annual CMA Awards for the 11th time and she's really looking forward to the lead up to the show and says:Carrie Underwood: "Our planning time is, it's a lot of work and it can be stressful, but it's also fun too getting in the room with Brad and the writers and we're just kind of swapping ideas - some good, some bad. [laughs]"Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return to host the 52nd annual CMA Awards on November 14. Here are some unforgettable moments from their monologues they’ve done over the past few years.

Speaking of the CMA’s Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay and Sugarland will reveal several CMA Awards nominees on Good Morning America on August 28th live from Luke's new Nashville restaurant, 32 Bridge Food + Drink.

Music City Minute: Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, Lauren Alaina, Kip Moore

Sounds like Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina are having a blast opening on Jason Aldean High Noon Neon Tour. And I'm not even talking about the shows. They've been playing softball on Fridays in different towns.

Luke says, quote, "It's kind of a nice tour-bonding activity, I guess you could say. We'll play against local fire departments or police stations or venue staff. We win most of the time, but we've got a couple of [losses] in there too."

If you're a huge Kip Moore fan, you should definitely be following him on social media. It paid off for some fans who accepted his challenge to prepare a home-cooked meal for him and his crew.

It started when he posted a video asking his fans in Billings, Montana to do an Instagram story talking about their go-to dish. He also wanted them to share their "Kip experiences" like a concert, or favorite CD… things like that.

And then he offered this exchange. He and his crew would come over and enjoy that go-to dish, and while there, they'd do a free show. He got a good response and from the looks of it, it went very well.

He posted a photo of the festive event and wrote, "Derek and Ash, you rock. Dawn, thank you for letting us in your home. We had a blast. #Montana-Home-Cookin'."

Music City Minute: Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Dierks Bentley, & More!

Jason Aldean is selling his 120-acre estate in Columbia, Tenn., (45 miles south of Nashville) for $7,875,000.The 8,900-square-foot house in Talley Moore Estates features 6 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, bowling alley, wet bar, wine cellar, in-law quarters and more. The estate also features a 10,000-square-foot horse facility, paddocks, in-ground pool and covered patio with thousands of feet along Flat Creek that is surrounded by a mix of woods, pasture, springs and a pond.Jason purchased the estate in January 2016 for $5.35 million.Check out the video of Jason's pad via RealtyPictures.com.

People magazine asked some country stars asked about their go-to karaoke songs. It's interesting because that's when they get to sing whatever they want without worrying about the fans who bought tickets expecting hits.

Dierks Bentley says Billy Idol was one of his "first heroes" so he goes with “Rebel Yell”.

Dan + Shay have totally different karaoke tastes. Dan Smyers admits to being "a huge Creed fan" and his choice is "With Arms Wide Open". But Shay Mooney is more R&B so he likes to sing the R. Kelly "Ignition" remix.

Chris Lane keeps it country and simple, with Tim McGraw's "I Like It, I Love It".

And then there's T.J. Osborne of Brothers Osborne. He likes to hit the karaoke stage with his sister to do "Summer Nights" from "Grease".

Dustin Lynch’s tour bus hit a huge elk while rolling down the road in Idaho earlier this week. Unfortunately, the elk didn't survive, but Dustin and everyone on the bus were fine.

He posted video of himself and his crew right after it happened. You see the cracked windshield and his driver talking about the elk being so big that "anybody would like to have him." Meaning, that's a lot of elk meat.

The driver also describes how the animal suddenly leaped from the side of the road. Dustin was able to continue on with his tour.

Music City Minute: Michael Ray + Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood

In case you're wondering what Carly Pearce sees in Michael Ray… beyond the fact that he's hot… there's a "Backstage at the Opry" video of him doing an acoustic version of "One That Got Away".

This is pretty cool, I came across and article with 13 Things You Didn’t Know About Carrie Underwood, and some of these tidbits are really interesting!

She earned college credit for American Idol. Carrie’s time of American Idol helped her earn her Mass Communications degree from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She said, "I've obviously done enough with television, there was my internship right there!" If she hadn't won the singing competition, she says she likely would have pursued television news as a reporter or anchor.

In high school Carrie would steal hot dogs and lunch meat from her refrigerator and sneak out to feed stray dogs.

Turns out Carrie is also a little OCD, she says “I can’t function during the day if I know my bed is not made. It will be all I think about throughout the day until it’s actually made. ” She also said, “My refrigerator is extremely organized. Everything is showing the labels and is arranged in perfect rows.”

And my absolutely favorite fun fact about Carrie is that her wedding cost $500,000!

Music City Minute: Mason Ramsey, Blake Shelton, & Gwen Stefani

Mason Ramsey introduced his lead single, "Famous," off his recently released "Famous" EP at ABC's "Good Morning America," performing the song for the first time on national television last Thursdsay.Watch Mason Ramsey premiere "Famous" and chat with ABC's Paula Faris on "Good Morning America."

In addition, he performed the song that made him an internet sensation, "Lovesick Blues" (Hank Williams, Sr.), as a web exclusive.

This is so adorable! I love when couples are happy and Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani seem to still be head over heels for each other. Gwen posted on her Instagram story over the weekend a bunch of different photos and videos from a trip with her kids and Blake on the lake. There’s one of Blake driving the boat, and a few sexy selfies of her and Blake together, you can really see how much they love each other!

Music City Minute: Carly Pearce + Michael Ray, Brett Eldredge, & Jon Pardi

The other day we heard Michael Ray say that Carly Pearce the moves on HIM before they started dating. So, CMT asked Carly if he was telling the truth.

She said, "Yes, it's true. I believe ladies, YOLO. 'You Only Live Once.' I had a crush on him for a really long time, when we would play shows together, and I didn't know how to talk to him, because we're both artists, and that's weird.

"So I just started literally commenting on everything on his [Instagram] story… there was no reason why I was doing that. But it took him a long time to get it. I had to spell it out."

Now that they're together she's got him willing to watch "The Bachelorette" and eat boring food just to be with her. Carly says, "I've never made him watch it, but he did tell me he would watch it with me. [We] make bland chicken together."

Country artists may love performing at festivals and fairs, but they're not so crazy about the heat and humidity. If you ever wondered how they cope with it well, some just deal with it and some artists have some tips.

Brett Eldredge accepts that he's going to be a mess by the time he's done. He says, "I'm going to look like I just took a shower. There's just no escaping it."

Jon Pardi says, "It sucks. But I always try to remember one simple thing: There [are] fans out there, and all they want to do is have a good time, so they're sweating it out with you. No excuses."

Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild says it's a little complicated. "Heat is good for the throat. Moisture and the humidity is good, but not so great on the hair and body."

Meanwhile, Charlie Daniels brings his own relief in the form of a stand-alone room air conditioner. The kind you put water in. He says, "But instead of water, we put ice in it, and we surround it with fans so it blows the cold air around… and they're [pointed] in my direction. It still gets hot, I still sweat and everything, but it makes it very bearable."
