Music City Minute: The Voice, Cam, Jason Aldean

One of our own made it on to Team Blake on The Voice last night!!! Spensha Baker is a 25-year-old from San Antonio, now living in Boerne and sang The Beatles song “Blackbird” last night during her Blind Audition absolutely killing it!

A little background on Spensha at only 12 years old she released Interscope's first gospel record and toured the world. After her deal ended, she moved to Nashville with her mother where country sparked her interest, but the pressure of the industry caused her to move back.

She now has her real estate license and is learning to love music again. Last night was definitely her night Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson both turned their chairs and eventually Spensha chose Team Blake! We can’t wait to follow her journey on the show!

CMT Country Crossroads is at it again! This time Cam will team up with the legendary Smokey Robinson to blend the classic sounds of Motown with Cam's California country.

The CMT concert special taped last night in Nashville and you’ll be able to check it out March 28th at 9PM on CMT!

Cam also posted a photo saying, "What an absolutely fulfilling moment to meet someone I've admired so long through my speakers, and then have him outshine my (very high) expectations, both as a talent and as a human being."

Yesterday we told you about Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany vacationing in the Bahamas and how some people were hating on them for leaving their son Memphis too early, who was born in December. They were basically saying he was too little for them to vacationing.

Jason and Brittany weren’t too fond of the haters so they responded. Brittany said in an Instagram post that it's okay for new parents to take vacations, saying "you need a little sunshine and adult time" after being pregnant for almost a year and being cooped up in a house for weeks at a time.

She then added that it wasn't okay for people to leave "ignorant" comments on her social media posts, and kindly asked for them to unfollow her account if they disagreed with something she's done. I just love how people always have to comment on other people’s lives and parenting, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all!

Music City Minute: Dustin Lynch, Jason Aldean, Kimberly Perry

After recently relaunching his social media accounts to give fans a more open and honest look into his life off stage, Dustin Lynch continues to show that he isn't afraid to share his thoughts on pretty much any topic. Lynch displayed that honesty in one of his latest online videos, sharing his reaction to getting snubbed for a nomination at the ACM Awards. The video shows Dustin listening to the nominations for Single Record of the Year being read off, with his name noticeably absent from the list of finalists. After scoring one the longest reigning No. 1s of the last couple of years with "Small Town Boy," Lynch expressed his frustration that a "career changing" song like that didn't get recognized.

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany went down to the Bahamas for a quick vacation with Dee Jay Silver and his wife Jenna. They posted some photos and as you'd expect, the Internet either loved them… or hated them.

Some of the controversy was around Brittany leaving her infant son Memphis too soon. He was born December 1st. On the positive side, she's receiving props for getting her bikini body back so quickly.

The Band Perry lead singer Kimberly Perry has filed for divorce from her former MLB player husband, J.P. Arencibia. The papers were filed Friday, in Greeneville, Tenn., with Perry citing irreconcilable differences. They were married for four years.

A representative for Kimberly confirmed the news and asked for privacy for the couple at this time. Kimberly also posted a short note to Instagram Sunday telling fans that indeed, her marriage is at an end:

Music City Minute: Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Backstreet Boys, Cody Johnson

Rumors swirling that Miranda Lambert and her boyfriend of more than two years, Anderson East, have called in quits. It's not clear if these rumors are true or not, but one thing is for sure, neither one of the singers has publicly confirmed the breakup. Another sure thing is that Miranda has recently been working new music. Just last week, Miranda shared a message on social media, hinting that she was writing a new song for her trio, Pistol Annies.

Luke Bryan is gearing up for American Idol's Sunday premiere on ABC with several national TV appearances. Tomorrow Luke will make the rounds to Good Morning America, Live! with Kelly & Ryan, and Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he is also slated to perform.

Luke will then make an appearance on The View on Wednesday, to chat about his role on the singing competition show. Something else to look forward to this Friday, Luke will release his “What Makes You Country” album on vinyl for the first time. The 16-track double vinyl will also feature an exclusive bonus song for fans titled "I Can't Even."

The Backstreet Boys are no strangers to country music, having teamed up with Florida Georgia Line on the hit single "God, Your Mama, and Me," but now it appears that one of the group's members has his eyes set on something else in the genre. In a hint of what could be a solo country project in the works, Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean recently stopped by the Country Music Association's offices in Nashville to officially become a member. While no details were revealed of what his possible country project would entail, McLean does say he's "kind of a chameleon," so we'll have to wait and see.

Jake Owen has released a brand-new single inspired by the John Mellencamp classic, "Jack & Diane." It’s based around the 1982 hit's iconic melody, the new song called -- "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" -- pays tribute to the classic-rock staple while also reinventing it. For Jake, it was also really important that John Mellencamp gave his stamp of approval on this song, and he says he really "digs the track." The original song "Jack & Diane" was about two American kids growing up in the heartland, and Jake says that imagery is exactly what so many country songs are based on.

Jason Aldean's wife, Brittany, sent her husband a sweet message on Wednesday (2/28) to mark his 41st birthday. In a post on Instagram, Brittany expressed her love for Jason, writing that his sarcasm, humor, passion, strength and love for people are undeniable. She then thanked him for being the best husband and daddy and said "We love you so much." Brittany would later post a picture of her and the birthday boy getting a good workout in the gym.

Music City Minute: William Shatner, Reba, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves

Last week we told you William Shatner recently signed with Heartland Records Nashville, the deal left many wondering if the Star Trek actor was boldly going where he hadn't gone before: country music. Now, William has revealed that he is, indeed, working on a new country project for the label, which will actually be a collaboration with one of the genre's well-known names. In a short video posted on YouTube, William said that he's working with a country icon on his new project, but couldn't reveal who it is just yet. During the video, Shatner also expressed his love for the genre and its talented pool of songwriters in Nashville: William says, "They write songs like people write poetry, it's really incredible what these artists who write country music can do. I've got some great songs that I want to do and I'm going to do them very soon with somebody you love."William Shatner has recorded several albums over the years and even had a country connection, appearing in Brad Paisley's music videos for "Celebrity" and "Online."

Reba will appear on CBS This Morning on tomorrow to reveal the nominees for the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards. Prior to her appearance on CBS This Morning during the 7:00 AM hour, Reba will also appear on Facebook Live to reveal the nominees for the coveted ACM Song of the Year trophy. Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O'Dell is then slated to reveal additional ACM nominees on ETonline.com at 7:50 AM, with the full list of nods being released immediately following those announcements. The 53rd ACM Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 15 at 7:00 PM on CBS.

Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation gave surprise donations to some 50 animal shelters across the country. The grants ranged from $3,000 to $5,000. She says, "I'm amazed and humbled by the great work these shelters do, and so honored to be able to support their critical efforts."

Kacey Musgraves debuted a heartbreaking new song, called "Space Cowboy" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.

"Space Cowboy" is a song about realizing that, sometimes, love wanes after the honeymoon phase wears off, and the only thing to do is say goodbye. In the song, Kacey speaks of being in a relationship and knowing that the other person has checked out and is looking to leave. Instead of chasing her man, however, Kacey calmly sings about gracefully letting him go.

Music City Minute: Maren Morris, Brett Young, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are getting married March 24th… so Ryan had his bachelor party over the weekend. Nothing crazy, he and some friends did a fishing trip to Destin, Florida.

Meanwhile, Maren prepped a little more for the wedding by getting four wisdom teeth taken out. She posted the news about that on Sunday. And then yesterday she wrote this, "Day one, missing four of my wisest teeth."

Speaking of love and marriage, Brett Young took to social media yesterday to announce he's officially off the market! Brett Young proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Mills, earlier this month in Oxford, Mississippi -- near where he went to college at Ole Miss. The two met in Arizona while Taylor was attending Arizona State University, and they will likely return there to get married.

Brett says since they'd likely get hitched in Arizona where Mills went to college, he thought it'd be romantic to propose where he went to school. As for the ring, Brett popped the question with a custom-made sparkler which he designed with both of their initials.

Over the weekend some of our favorite country artists celebrated birthdays of those closest to them. Blake Shelton channeled his inner Shaggy over the weekend during a Scooby-Doo-themed birthday party for Gwen Stefani's 4-year-old son, Apollo. Blake wore a scruffy wig and green shirt to portray Shaggy, and Gwen dressed up as the show's Daphne character and of course, Apollo took on the role as Scooby-Doo himself. Gwen used her Instagram Stories to document the whole party, which included everything from elaborate Scooby-Doo birthday cakes to a full marionette puppet show.

Carrie Underwood and friends celebrated her son Isaiah’s 2nd birthday over the weekend with a fun two-tiered Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed cake. Carrie said the cake was “Too cute to eat (but we did anyway)!” And went on to thank the cake shop for making her sweet baby happy, saying, “I know, I know, he’s not a baby anymore 😩...but he’ll always be MY baby.”

Music City Minute: George Strait, The Voice, Kacey Musgraves, Cole Swindell, Garth Brooks

If you weren't able to catch George Strait's shows at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas earlier this month, you'll have two more chances this year. George has revealed that he'll return to Vegas for two more concerts on December 7-8, making these his final performances of 2018. The December dates will feature special guests Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, who also recently opened the February shows for him. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 6 at 10 AM local at www.StraitToVegas.com.

The 14th season premiere of "The Voice" is on tonight at 7pm on NBC! We can’t wait to see Blake Shelton and Adam Levine battle it out with their wits and sarcastic comments. Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys join them this season as judges on the show as well.

We told you about new music on Friday from Kacey Musgraves, well she will also be on TV tonight on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon! We’re guessing she’ll be promoting her new album that’ll be out March 30th.

Speaking of new music Cole Swindell fans the wait is over, his new single is called “Break Up in the End” and it’s all about doing all the special loving things you would normally do in a relationship, even though you break up in the end. It makes me sad!

Garth Brooks is opening and closing the Houston Rodeo this year and he couldn’t be happier about it!Garth: "I'm looking forward to getting back to the boys in Houston because it's all about relationships. So, seeing those guys again? Hugging their neck? and getting to play the Livestock Show. The only thing better than that is if Strait was opening and closing it this year! So, we're actually gonna learn a couple Strait songs to make sure we get to play 'em those nights just to honor The King. It's gonna be great!"

We’re hookin’ you up with tickets to see Garth coming up at 8:25!
