WATCH: Brothers Osborne Perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The guys in Brothers Osborne stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week (Monday 4/23) where they performed, “Shoot Me Straight”, a song from their new ‘Port Saint Joe’ album. The guys even hung out with the  comedy duo of Cheech & Chong backstage... and left with an interesting “gift” from the pair. Check out Brothers Osborne’s performance and “present” below!

Music City Minute: Jason Aldean, Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood, Maddie & Tae

Jason Aldean's new Rearview Town album has earned the No. 1 spot on Billboard's all-genre Top 200 Album chart, making Jason only the second country act in history to score four consecutive chart-toppers. Rearview Town also sold 183,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release, giving Jason the biggest country debut of 2018. The album is also the first country project to earn an all-genre No. 1 this year.

Seeing the album score a historic debut on the all-genre chart is great news for Jason, but there's another reason why he wanted to get this music out to fans:

Jason Aldean: "Once the album is finally out and you can go out and play those songs, it's great for us because you can look and get a gauge of the reaction it's getting' from people. You know, I mean, you can kind of read people a little bit. So, I love testing that stuff out. I love going and playing the new songs, and I'm excited to be able to play it for 'em."

On Friday, Maren Morris became the latest country star to sing the national anthem at a Nashville Predators home playoff game. She sang before the Preds and the Colorado Avalanche met in Game 5 of the First Round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

As the Nashville Predators continue their playoff bit moving closer to the cup, Carrie Underwood recalls the excitement of 2017 when the Preds played in the final for the Stanley Cup:

Carrie Underwood: "To see how much Nashville loves the Predators was just incredible. and the town was absolutely electric the few weeks leading up to the final especially during that last week or so. To see 100,000 people lining Broadway, I mean, that was incredible."

Maddie and Tae are back! After nearly two years since their last single, they announced their new song "Friends Don't" will be out Friday. Here a clip of the song below!

They wrote on Instagram about the new song, "Keeping this a secret has been one of the hardest things we've ever done haha but we wanted this release to be extra special for y'all (our sweet, sweet fans). Thank you for being so patient & supportive. You'll never truly know how much that has meant to us. Gosh we love y'all."

Music City Minute: Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Brantley Gilbert, Carrie Underwood

Doesn’t it kinda seem like the singers in country music love playing pranks on each other? Well, that happened over the weekend, Brothers Osborne played a prank on their friend and former tourmate Jon Pardi. The guys decided to make a play of Jon’s last name, and superimposed his face on a photo of rapper Cardi B and captioned it “Pardi B” the resulted is pretty amazing.

Of course it’s all in good fun, Jon Pardi hasn’t commented back yet, which means he’s likely working on his own prank to pay back the brothers.

Brantley Gilbert is the proud owner of a deer farm in Alabama, and you can go hunting there! It's called Countrywide Whitetails and it features 433 acres that are "high-fenced."

They sell packages that include lodging, three meals a day, transportation to and from the stand, professional guides on your hunt… plus game cleaning and taxidermy prep. There's even a fully stocked fishing pond.

The coolest part about Brantley’s deer farm is that he made it accessible so wounded veterans can go hunting. He even built a wheelchair friendly lodge.

Here's very proud of that and explains the story of the first vet he had out on the farm:

“The deer farm is awesome. We got to bring our first vet out. Fella’s name was Darrell Wallace. He’s a double amputee with an amazing story; his family was amazing; they’re just awesome people, but he came out to the farm and he killed a hundred sixty something inch buck – killed a massive buck. And we had a great time. I let his son shoot one too. It was a lot of fun. It was a great time. And we’re looking forward to doing more of that next year.”

Carrie Underwood posted a photo of herself getting ready to cheer on her husband Mike Fisher and the Nashville Predators. People are saying it's a close-up pic with a clear view of the scar above her lip. I don’t notice anything, but I'm thinking she wanted to let everybody get a good look so we can all move on and stop talking about it.

Speaking of Carrie Underwood, yesterday she posted a picture of her parents on Instagram with the caption, “Today, we celebrated my parents’ 50th anniversary...We listened to stories of how they met and their first years together...the good Lord sure did bless them...and us! ❤️❤️❤️ I think these crazy kids are gonna make it!”

Music City Minute: Thomas Rhett, Lauren Akins, Carrie Underwood

Taylor Swift asked Sugarland to record a song she wrote called "Babe," so they invited her to sing on it! It's their second single and latest release from their upcoming album Bigger.

Taylor wrote "Babe" with Train frontman Pat Monahan — and it's the only song on Sugarland's Bigger album that the country duo did not write, but one they knew they needed to record. The Bigger album will be their first studio release in nearly eight years, and comes out June 8th!

In an interview yesterday Carrie Underwood talked about the infamous fall that broke her wrist and left her with a scar on her face.

It happened when she was walking the dogs and tripped on the porch. ***CLIP S262*** She tried to catch herself with her right hand but missed the step. She said she landed, "Around my mouth." She was thinking "busted lip" until she looked in the mirror.

She ended up getting some 40 stitches… but at least she had time on her side.

She said, "I was lucky that when it happened everything was shutting down in the music world [because] of the holidays. But I was at a point where I didn't know how things were going to end up. I didn't know what it was going to heal like."

She admits hiding the scar with makeup, but she won't pretend it never happened. Carrie says, "I don't know if I'll ever be done talking about it, because it was an event in my life and I'm okay talking about it."

Music City Minute: Carrie Underwood, Cam, Kelsea Ballerini, Brett Young

Carrie Underwood fans new music is on the way! She announced the release of her sixth studio album, Cry Pretty, will be out September 14th. Carrie says, at this point in her career, she feels stronger and more creative than ever, and thinks that will translate in her new music. And says the album "Is emotional, it's soulful, it's real, and we also have some fun on there too. I hope everyone loves it as much as I have loved making it."

Cam before back at the rodeo in February and has been a busy woman lately! She recently performanced on American Idol and the Late Late Show with James Corden, She just announced her first headlining show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The show will take place on September 26 and will include singer-songwriter Lucie Silvas as the special guest. Tickets go on sale to the public tomorrow at 10 AM!

It seems like everyone loves Kelsea Ballerini, well recently someone asked her how she manages to be so friendly and open with just about everybody. She said it's because of a promise she made to herself when she signed her record deal back when she was 19.

She said, "I promised myself that I would be the same person on stage as I was out to dinner with my friends, as I was on Instagram. I never wanted anyone to see me anywhere and be disappointed, if that makes sense." It all makes sense why we love her so much, she’s just like us!

Brett Young recently got engaged and quickly figured out the key to planning a successful wedding ***CLIP S261*** he says he and his fiancée Taylor are still in the early stages of wedding planning and they are working on nailing down a date and location. It’s looking like November because of his touring schedule.

Music City Minute: Maren Morris, Chris Stapleton, Tim & Faith!

It seems like there’s some drama going on after the ACM Awards on Sunday. Maren Morris hit up Twitter to call out "Rolling Stone" for saying Sunday's ACMs "dropped the ball" on their Route 91 tribute. They accused the academy of being "unwilling to confront difficult emotion head-on."

Maren took this personally because she was one of the artists who addressed the tragedy at the beginning of the show. She called "Rolling Stone's" accusation "unnecessary."

She said, "Artists who want to talk about Vegas HAVE talked about it and everyone just wants to exhale. How about asking one of the country fans who survived that night if they felt the ball was dropped. Or Jason Aldean. I think the ACMs were respectful."

She also added, "I get that everyone has an opinion, but if you weren't there and they aren't YOUR fans who were taken, maybe don't judge a show that's trying to help everyone move on." Which all seem like great points, and good for her for speaking out.

Some positive ACM Awards news, as you probably know by now Chris Stapleton didn’t attend the show on Sunday because he was on baby watch with his wife Morgane. Well, Reba made the announcement on the show that the twin boys arrived early and congratulated them both. Yesterday Chris tweeted that everyone was doing great, and his wife Morgane shared the first photo of them, and it’s just so precious!

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill made the TMZ website! But not for something crazy, they are standing by their man, Ed Sheeran and insist one of their hit duets -- which he wrote -- was not a rip-off of an Australian hit song.

A few months back we told you about Faith and Tim saying they lawfully licensed their song, "The Rest of Our Life" ... which would mean there's zero issue with them performing it. They also deny the track is a "note for note" duplication of "When I Found You" ... a 2014 country hit for Jasmine Rae.

The update is Tim and Faith just filed their response to the suit, and while they are backing Ed's claim he wrote an original ... they also say IF their hit song is based on Jasmine's, and her songwriters DO suffer any damages ... it ain't their fault. Basically, Tim and Faith are like look we're just up here singing ... talk to our writer.

And a reminder tonight on TV Dierks Bentley and Gwen Stefani will be on the "Jimmy Kimmel" show!

Chris Stapleton Shares First Photo Of Twins!

Chris Stapleton's wife, Morgane, has given the world its first glimpse of their adorable twin boys. Yesterday, Chris tweeted that the twins were "doing great”:

Morgane also posted a picture of the boys on Instagram along with a message thanking the nurses and doctors at Centennial Women's & Children's Hospital in Nashville. Morgane said their twins were born more than a month early and they had a weeklong stay in the Neonatal, Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where the "incredible people there kept our boys healthy & happy." She then wrote, "Words cannot express our gratitude for you all & what you did for our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!"

Music City Minute: Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, The Backstreet Boys

Jason Aldean was on the “Ellen” show yesterday talking about his Entertainer of the Year win at the ACM Awards. Whether you liked or disliked the show, one thing everyone seems to agree on, from fans to country singers. And that is, they HAVE to start nominating females for Entertainer of the Year. Even Jason Aldean agrees.

Jason said backstage, "For whatever reason, there were no female [nominees] this year. I definitely think there's some worthy of being there, for sure.

"I think there's some that should be represented in there and honestly, down the road, if they happen to win one, I'll be the first one up congratulating them because I think it's probably a little overdue."

Speaking of the ACMs, Sam Hunt’s song “Body Like A Back Road” won Single Record of the Year but you may have noticed he wasn’t at the show. Sam said he was unable to attend the ACMs because he was celebrating the marriage of his longtime friend and tour manager, John Worthington. Naturally, everyone made it seem more dramatic than that.

If you’re a fan of The Backstreet Boys this might make you really excited. A.J. McLean is recording a country album. Yes, the Backstreet Boy that seems the least likely to be country. A.J. says, “I am coming in to disrupt country. I’m coming to shake things up.” Alright look. I love the Backstreet Boys and I love country music. But First of all A.J. calm down. He also went on to say, “after we did ‘God, Your Mama, And Me' with Florida Georgia Line… something just kind of clicked and I just got this overwhelming inspiration to just give it a go.”

Music City Minute: ACM Awards Recap + Performances

Last night may have been the best ACM Awards yet! We were treated to amazing performances by our favorite country artists and of course they took home some awards! Reba was back as the host and was so adorable with her little jokes and banter about seeing a lot of these artists as babies.

Miranda Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year last night for the ninth year in a row! She also won Song of the Year for "Tin Man" which makes her the most-awarded artist in ACM history, with 31 wins. Brooks & Dunn are in second, with 29.

Now Chris Stapleton couldn’t be at the show last night but for good reason, his wife Morgane was expecting to give birth to their twin boys so of course he didn’t want to miss that! And it’s a good thing he stayed home because they welcomed their little boys into the world and Reba made the announcement right after they accepted the award on Chris’s behalf for Male Vocalist of the Year, and he also won an award for Album of the Year! Plus, if that wasn’t enough, yesterday was also Chris’s birthday! What a night for him!

The Entertainer of the Year might be the most prestigious award of the night, and that went to Jason Aldean. He’s struggled with a lot over the past few months since the Route 91 tragedy and rightfully became emotional when accepting the award.

Other awards included:

Vocal Duo of the Year - Brothers Osborne

Vocal Group of the Year - Old Dominion

Song of the Year - “Tin Man” Miranda Lambert

Single Record of the Year - “Body Like A Back Road” Sam Hunt

Video of the Year - “It Ain’t My Fault” Brothers Osborne

Vocal Event of the Year - “The Fighter” Keith Urban feat. Carrie Underwood

Songwriter of the Year - Rhett Akins

The big performances of the night were the 90’s collaborations! First up was Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi they sang Alan’s hit “Chattahoochee”:

Next up was Toby Keith and Blake Shelton singing “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”:

And finally to end the night Reba and Kelly Clarkson sang “Does He Love You”:

But the performance everyone was waiting for seemed to be Carrie Underwood’s performance of “Cry Pretty” it was her first performance since her fall back in November.

This Version Of Luke Combs “Hurricane” Will Leave You Speechless!

It's clear Luke Combs just keeps getting bigger and bigger the more hits he puts out.  Like most country singers Luke started in bars and honky-tonks but has quickly proven he can command the attention of any size audience. It’s a been a whirlwind since he release “Hurricane” so it’s amazing to look back at a video of the song that Luke uploaded about two years ago to Instagram, the moment the break it down accapella will give you chills!
