Music City Minute: Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, 4th of July Celebrations!

Florida Georgia Line revealed they are dropping a new song tomorrow. The tweet contained a sample of the new track, which will be their third song from their upcoming album 'Simple' and bonus track 'Colorado.' No word yet when the album will be released.

Miranda Lambert didn't promote her new album with a bunch of interviews, because she'd already been through hell creating it. And when she finally did one, they asked about Gwen Stefani… so she hung up.

You might not have noticed this, but Miranda Lambert didn't do any interviews to promote "The Weight of These Wings". For a very specific reason… she'd already been through hell creating it.

So the album came out in November of 2016 but she’s talking about this now. In a new interview she said, "It was hell… putting my words on paper. So I didn't want to rehash. I'd finally gotten to a place where I wasn't sad anymore.”

She went on to say, “All the sad moments were there, all the truths were right in those songs. All you had to do was listen. I didn't need to say anything."

If that sounds a little dramatic, imagine this… once the album was out, she finally got on the phone for the first interview. And the very first question was, "How do you feel about Gwen?" So she hung up and stopped talking. Until now.

Next up is her stuff with the Pistol Annies, which takes the pressure off writing alone. She describes it as, quote, "a slumber party with songwriting."

And of course yesterday was the 4th of July so a lot of our favorite country artists shared their celebrations in Instagram. Thomas Rhett and his family wore matching swimsuitsKelsea Ballerini hung out in a pool with friends, and Jason Aldean and his family wore their red white and blue!

Music City Minute: Jason Aldean, Rolling Stone List of Top 100 Songs, Shania Twain!

Jason Aldean allowed Taste of Country to grill him for their "One Last Question” segment… which is several rapid-fire questions delivered ambush-style. But it's fun to hear him being put on the spot.

He admitted that his favorite chick flick is "The Notebook"… and that he believes in ghosts. They asked him about a habit he wishes he could break, he said, "Being on my phone all the time."

This one surprised me because it comes out of nowhere but it tells me a lot about him and I like it, they asked for his biggest pet peeve, and he said, "Dirty dishes laying in the sink."

His go-to late night snack is dill pickles, and the TV show he'd like to do a cameo on is "The Walking Dead". Fun Jason facts!

Rolling Stone reached out to a bunch of artists, producers, critics and industry experts to compile a list of the '100 Greatest Songs of the Century So Far.'Of the 100 songs included from the last 18 years, only two country songs made the cut: Miranda Lambert’s 'The House That Built Me' #75:

And Eric Church’s 'Springsteen' #68:

Obviously, a list like this is totally subjective to everyone’s opinion, but I found it interesting.

People.com is previewing a Shania Twain mini documentary that takes you behind-the-scenes during rehearsals and backstage stuff leading up to her "Now Tour," which launched in May.

They're also featuring an interview called "Firsts and Faves", which had some cool stuff. She says her favorite song to perform is "That Don't Impress Me Much" because it stands the test of time, and has a lot of energy.

Plus, she loves how because it brings out the freak in her fans. She said, "A lot of people wear leopard print clothes to the show and wait for that song... so it's a novelty every night."

Her first concert was Van Halen. She said, "I was 15 years old, I was so in love with Eddie Van Halen”.

Music City Minute: Mason Ramsey, Morgan Evans, Kelsea Ballerini

Mason Ramsey the Walmart boy released two new songs! If you remember J.R. was obsessed with his first some “Famous” and now he’s released “The Way I See It”:

And “Jambalaya (On The Bayou)” which Hank Williams recorded in 1952:

He’s been performing everywhere! You can see him next at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 25th annual NASCAR weekend and opening again for FGL in September!

"The Bachelorette" is on tonight at 7 p.m. on ABC! Country singer and Kelsea Ballerini’s hubby Morgan Evans will serenads Becca on her date with Leo. Then seven guys take a history quiz at the state capitol before competing in a debate about who is the best one for her. That should be interesting!

Speaking of Kelsea Ballerini she always prides herself on being real and over the weekend she posted a clip on Instagram where she’s taking all her stage makeup off the caption read, "I really want to give you a genuine look at my real life. And while part of it is glittery and airbrushed, the other part is this: Here's the 'post-show back to reality no filter acne on my forehead' look."

Music City Minute: Randy Houser, Country Artist PSA, Cassadee Pope

Randy Houser fans new music is FINALLY HERE! It's been two years since we've heard something new, which is far too long. He released his brand new song today and it’s called "What Whiskey Does"

He released a video for it that was filmed in the studio while he was putting the final touches on the track. It includes the band and the song's co-writer and backup singer Hillary Lindsey.

Randy said, "We had [everybody] in the studio on standby while we finished the lyrics, so it was written and recorded in one day. Sometimes it happens like that, lightning strikes and you just sort of go with it.

"I'm so thrilled to finally share the first piece of what we've been working on and I can't wait to let everyone hear the rest of this album."

He says the song is a pretty good representation of what the new album will sound like. No word yet a release date.

A bunch of country stars led by Blake Shelton just put out a PSA about imposters on social media. Just about everybody is on it… Blake, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Darius Rucker, Maren Morris, and more.

They said if there isn’t a blue check mark next to their name, it’s a fake account, the real artists would never ask you for money, try to sell you anything, or ask for personal information. I think this is great because I’m always getting screenshots from people asking if it’s really them, it’s not!

Cassadee Pope gave fans a treat backstage at the Grand Ole Opry this week, when she performed a stripped-down version of Lee Ann Womack’s 2000 hit "I Hope You Dance" as part of the Opry's Radio Replay series.

Music City Minute: Brett Young, Dierks Bentley, Carly Pearce

Brett Young and his fiancée, Taylor, are enjoying a romantic getaway to the scenic coast of Alaska. Yesterday Brett shared several pictures from their trip to Seward, Alaska, including a photo of them standing on the deck of a ship in front of a massive glacier and another shot of them enjoying a drink inside the ship's cabin.

Dierks Bentley released the lyric video to "Burning Man". He recently talked about why he wanted Brothers Osborne on the song. Dierks said, "Those guys are the perfect group to do it with, and they definitely took it to a new spot… and now we get to sing it every night on stage, so it worked out really well."

Carly Pearce wrote a heartfelt message on social media thanking Kelsea Ballerini for believing in her and helping jumpstart her career three years ago. Even though Carly had no record deal and no songs on the radio, Kelsea let her open some shows and "go to a radio visit."

Don’t forget tonight on TV the Backstreet Boys will be on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. And Luke Combs will be on CMT Country Crossroads with Leon Bridges at 9!

Music City Minute: Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Chris Stapleton

Chris Stapleton has been busy the last few months as his family adjusts to life with baby twins! Chris and his wife gave birth to twin boys last April and says it’s like raising a baby but double the fun.

"Well, you know, it's like a baby times two,” Chris said.

“Sleep is less than having one baby, but we're doing great, they're doing great and you know, it's an amazing and wonderful thing."

While having twins comes with twice the work, Chris’s first two children have embraced the roles of big brother and big sister.

"They're super helpful and kind and sweet to them, and I'm so proud of them. They're doing far better than I would have expected for the loss of attention that they have received in the last two months. So they're remarkable individuals."

Morgane Stapleton shared a photo of the baby twins days after they were born last April.

Dierks Bentley announced his next single will be his collaboration with Brothers Osborne called “Burning Man”!

With Brothers Osborne on Dierks’s Mountain High Tour right now, Dierks says the release of the single makes the tour with Brothers Osborne a little cooler.

“I would've asked them to be on it regardless, I really would have,” Dierks stated, “but the fact they're on tour with us just makes it all that sweeter.”

Bentley went on to add that the guys bring a new ingredient to his live shows that makes things a little more fun.

“Those guys are the perfect group to do it with and they definitely took it to a new spot and now we get to sing it every night on stage, so it worked out really well.”

Music City Minute: Luke Combs, Jana Kramer, Keith Urban

The Luke Combs and Leon Bridges edition of "CMT Crossroads" debuts Thursday. If you don’t know Leon Bridges, he has a very Motown sound so it totally makes sense he got together with Luke Combs for this. The episode airs Thursday but to get you excited they released the video of Luke and Leon performing “When It Rains It Pours”.

Jana Kramer and her husband, Michael, are expecting their second child this fall. Jana revealed the happy news on Instagram yesterday writing, "Surprise! We have a rainbow baby on the way & couldn't be more excited! Jolie is going to be a big sister & we're becoming a family of 4!" The message was the caption of a photo of the family sitting on a sofa together behind a sign that read, "Only child expiring November 2018." This news comes after Jana publicly revealed that she was having trouble trying to conceive and suffered multiple miscarriages.

Yesterday was a big day for Keith Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman! They celebrated their 12th anniversary! Keith marked the occasion by sending his wife a sweet message on Instagram. Keith wrote, "12 years of celestial synergized soul dancing. Happy anniversary Babygirl!!! I love you SO much." The message was the caption of a photo of the two lovebirds together, as Keith played the piano and Nicole stood nearby. Their anniversary came nearly a week after Keith convinced a festival crowd to serenade Kidman with a special rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Music City Minute: Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Scotty McCreery

Do you remember Harry Styles – the former member of One Direction? He’s actually on tour with Kacey Musgraves as his opener and turns out he’s a Shania Twain fan! On Friday during his show at New York's Madison Square Garden, Harry and Kacey got on stage and sang a version of Shania’s "Still the One" and the crowd went crazy!

Kane Brown headed into the desert to film the new video for his single "Lose It." After the video features shots of Kane belting the tune in the scenic desert landscape, the singer can be seen cruising the desolate roads in a classic Chevy Camaro and later making his way through a forest of neon-lit ferns. At one point in the video, Brown even hops on top of the car as his silhouette fades in the desert sunset. The video for "Lose It" was one of the Top 5 trending videos on YouTube after its release.

Speaking of vacations… Thomas Rhett, his wife Lauren, and their two little girls recently took a trip to the beach and shared some adorable photos.

Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi, recently jetted to the tropics to enjoy a romantic honeymoon getaway. A few days after getting hitched in the mountains of North Carolina, the couple shared a selfie in front of the stunning island scenery of Bora Bora in French Polynesia. In the caption for the photo, McCreery wrote "Ia orana from Tahiti!," a typical greeting in the Tahitian language.

Music City Minute: Dan + Shay, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood

Dan + Shay’s self-titled album it out today – they wanted it to illustrate everything that’s been happening in their lives since the release of their last album. The guys were nervously tweeting about the album release last night:

Shay Mooney: "With this album we really wanted to make something that was reflective of ourselves, you know. And that's obviously life-changing things that happened to us...getting married and having a kid. It's definitely life-altering, and it definitely goes into your music. And we have songs that are, you know, that reflect that."

And Dan hopes fans can relate to these songs as well…

Dan Smyers "Songs take on new meanings, you know, after things change in your life or things happen. And it's cool to create these songs and put this work and this art out into the world, and it's special and awesome and exciting to be able to perform it onstage as well."

Here’s one of the new songs on their album that actually has clips from each of their weddings in the music video called “Speechless”:

Blake Shelton did an interview with Willie Geist that'll air on NBC's "Sunday Today". And they released a preview where Willie asks him about Gwen Stefani.

Blake opened up about how Gwen's NOT the reason he and Miranda Lambert broke up. The marriage was already on the skids when they got together.

He says, "When I was going through my divorce, I hit rock bottom, just like anybody does when they go through something that devastating.

"It's a miracle that I met somebody that was going through the same exact thing that I was at the exact same moment in time."

Sounds like they were having fun, and not looking much beyond that.

"I think in the back of our minds we both kind of thought, 'This is a rebound deal'… because we were both coming out of a pretty low spot in our lives and were kind of clinging to each other to get through this."

These days they're so happy it's almost annoying… and the way he talks, it's only a matter of time before they make it official.

"But now here we are, going on three years later and every day that goes by it just feels like a stronger bond between the two of us and it constantly feels like it's going to the next level.

"That's the only way either one of us could describe it… if she was sitting here." Blake's 42, and Gwen is 48.

You can see the interview clip here

The new season of NBC's Sunday Night Football (SNF) is still a couple months away, but Carrie Underwood is already back to filming the new opening for the broadcast. Sunday Night Football recently posted pictures from the shoot on their official Instagram account, saying Carrie was in Los Angeles this week filming for the new season. The series of photos show Carrie wearing two different black leather outfits as she shines in the bright lights of a warehouse studio.

Music City Minute: Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Brett Young

Keith Urban convinced his audience to help sing "Happy Birthday" to his wife Nicole Kidman… who turned 51 yesterday. Nicole posted the clip on her Instagram and wrote, "What a gift. My husband and everyone at Country USA Festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin singing me Happy Birthday."

If it were up to Kelsea Ballerini, the world would know that country music is complex and real… and way beyond the typical image that people always try to hang on it.

She said, “Country has this stigma still of like, 'It's all about the fiddle and the truck.'

"Obviously, that's still in the roots. But it's about the story, and it's about the emotions of the human heart. Not necessarily the clichés of beer, truck, dog, cheating."

She's also a little annoyed with the idea that female country stars try to compete against each other. She said, "I'm constantly seeing articles about 'Who's your country queen'… and it makes all of us feel like there's only one spot.

"So there's this weird, negative, competitive energy in the room. That makes you feel awkward, and like you can't be their friend." Exccept I think Kelsea does a great job! She seems to be friends with everyone including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, Kelly Clarkson, and more!

Brett Young had the wedding song of the year with “In Case You Didn’t Know” so he has a lot to live up to with his own wedding. He says he’s planning to sing one song at his wedding, it’ll be an original track inspired by his wife-to-be Taylor Mills. He said, “I want to write something specific to the day” but says he hasn’t written it yet. He’s been working hard on a new album and already has had so much success in a short amount of time, we’re sure it’ll be a tearjerker!
