Music City Minute: Josh Abbott Band & Miranda Lambert

Josh Abbott and Taylor Parnell tied the knot in front of 250 family and friends in Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas, on July 8th.After the wedding ceremony, Josh serenaded his new bride with a song he wrote just for her: "Taylor Made for Me.""I wanted to write Taylor a song for this week and for this event, this awesome life moment we get to share with all of you," said Josh. "And I wrote the first verse a few days ago. I wrote the rest of it this morning. And that's how I think it needed to be."

Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker are finally putting it out there for the world to see. There’s a video of them showing some PDA while walking through the streets of New York City on Wednesday.

A source said, "They looked very happy together. They looked closer as the night went on. At one point Evan leaned in for a kiss. When the two let themselves be open, they appeared very comfortable together."

That was the same night Miranda did a couple of songs on "Late Night with Seth Meyers"

They were also in town because the Bandwagon Tour of Miranda, Little Big Town, and Evan's group Turnpike Troubadours performed at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island.

One last thing: It seems that Evan and his estranged wife Staci Felker are still married, although she says she's moving forward.

Music City Minute: Carly Pearce, Michael Ray, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert

It looks like Carly Pearce and Michael Ray are dating. No one's confirmed it, but there are clues. He posted a photo of himself on Instagram, and she commented with a drooling emoji and a fire emoji.

He joked that they should go to Golden Corral, and she responded with "steakhouses are the way to my heart." Okay, that's just flirting, but then this happened.

Somebody asked him about it yesterday during an interview and he tried to be vague, but failed. He said, "I think when it comes time to talk about the dating life, it'll come out. But she's a great girl. I think that she's an incredible person.

"And right now, everything on both ends are about both of our singles and our music and, it'll come out. She's great. I'm a big fan. I'll leave it at that."

And then later in the interview, somebody asked how he spends his time off the road and he seemed to refer to her again. Michael said, "The little bit of free time that we have is spent mainly at my house, not doing too much.

"But, yeah, that's changed a little bit, you know. Some person got added into it, so it's been better. My time off's been better. She's a homebody too, so we connect real well. So a lot of old country music is listened to."

They then posted the same pic to Instagram at midnight last night with a caption of how one random night "changed everything."

Some of our favorite country artists were on TV this week! Luke Combs was on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and if you missed it he sang “One Number Away”.

Last night Miranda Lambert made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers she sang “Pink Sunglasses” and “Ugly Lights” if you missed it check it out!

Blake Shelton was probably half-joking when he said his on-stage tumble last weekend happened because he drank too much. According to him, he's always drinking too much and it's no big deal.

But it left the door open for people to talk about it, so Wynonna Judd was asked in an interview if a lot of country stars "loosen up" before performing. She's had her own issues with substance abuse so it may have been a way to get her to go there.

Her answer was all over the place, but she did eventually say this: "I love Blake and I get it. I understand that some people do all that.

"I've asked some of the greatest singers, whether it's Tony Bennett or other people, and we all agree that we need all the brain cells we can have onstage. I've worked with so many mavericks [and] I just have seen too many… it didn't end well."

Miranda Lambert fans she’ll be on Late Night with Seth Meyers tonight!

Music City Minute: Blake Shelton, Kacey Musgraves, Scotty McCreery, Luke Combs

Yesterday we told you about Kenny Chesney falling on stage over the weekend, well it looks like the same thing happened to Blake Shelton! He fell while performing at Oregon's Pendleton Whisky Music Fest on Saturday. It wasn't a very bad fall and he got right back up.

The next day he hit up Twitter with a request, and an excuse, saying, "Okay, Pendleton. I know somebody is bound to have video of me falling on stage. Please. I have to see it. Post that [stuff]. And yes I had been drinking. A lot."

His request was heard and people started putting up clips. There’s one from a distance, and one up close.

And of course there are always haters, one woman tried to shame him for "showing up drunk" and compared him to Justin Bieber throwing up on stage. Which let’s be real, isn’t even comparable.

In true Blake fashion, he responded by writing, "Oh, I'm sorry ma'am. This account is meant for people who actually have a sense of humor. We're not accepting crybaby Tweets today. Maybe try again tomorrow."

Kacey Musgraves fans she announced a new leg of her “Oh, What a World: Tour” yesterday! She’ll be in Austin performing at Stubbs March 9th and 10th and pre-sale tickets are available now, with tickets going on sale to the general public on July 20 at 10 a.m.

Scotty McCreery and his family will appear on an upcoming episode of "Celebrity Family Feud" on Aug. 5 on ABC.

The episode, which was tapped before Scotty's recent wedding, features Scotty, wife Gabi, his father-in-law, father and grandmother.

Scotty will be playing SNL alum Chris Kattan and his family, and will be playing for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

And tonight Luke Combs will be on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert!

Music City Minute: Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift

Kenny Chesney hurt himself while performing Saturday in Kansas City! It wasn't serious because he continued the show, but he did ease up on the running and jumping.

He seemed to have injured his knee or ankle while running across the stage. He started hobbling and limping, and was even seen doubled over in pain.

A fan hit up Twitter with a quick clip of him doing "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"… and you can see him limping.

As of last night, Kenny hadn't made a statement. According to his tour page, his next show is Thursday in Southaven, Mississippi.

Lady Antebellum was on NBC's “Sunday Today” to promote their Summer Plays On Tour with Darius Rucker. It kicks off Thursday in Toronto.

They covered stuff we already know, like Hillary Scott’s mom is old school country singer Linda Davis… and that Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood have known each other since middle school.

They talked about going on hiatus in 2015 to recharge the batteries, and getting back together last year "reunited and refreshed."

And then the host brought up how they did therapy together, and he didn't know that bands went into group therapy. Charles said, "They should. It helps. [We've] done a lot of it recently while getting into this.

"I do think when bands don't talk and then let out some of that stuff, without an unbiased professional, [it's not good.]" Dave compared the band's therapy to marriage counseling.

Taylor Swift got stuck on a malfunctioning gondola stage prop during a show in Philadelphia on Saturday.

There's a part of her show where she basically flies over the crowd to a secondary stage and performs a few songs.

But this time, the gondola would only go up and down a bit… it wouldn't actually transport her. So, she was lowered back to the main stage, and stopped the show to ask the crew what she should do.

She asked if there was a way for her to walk to the other stage, rather than fly… and wasn't getting a response. While she was waiting, she led the crowd in 'a cappella' versions of a few tracks, like "Our Song".

Eventually, they had her take a second gondola on the other side of the stage to a different stage in the crowd. The rest of the show apparently went okay.

MAJOR CLOSURE ON I-35 THIS WEEKEND

Plan to leave early if you’re traveling on I-35 this weekend! The Texas Department of Transportation shared plans to close all lanes in BOTH directions at Farm-to-Market 1103 in Schertz starting 9:00pm Saturday until 3:00pm Sunday. If you’re going to be driving through this area expect to remain on the frontage road through FM 1103 and re-enter the highway.

The closures will go in effect this weekend due to a $7.2 million project that involves expanding the FM 1103 bridge over I-35 to five lanes and U-turn bridges. The construction is scheduled for completion in summer of 2019.

For more information on closure, check out more from our friends at KENS-5!

Music City Minute: Kenny Chesney, Cam, Eric Church

It’s new Music Friday and we are so excited!

In the build-up to the release of his new studio album, "Songs for the Saints," on July 27 Kenny Chesney shared a song from the album called "Better Boat" today with fans.

One our our favorite women in country music, Cam, released her new song, "Road To Happiness" and says she has her own definition of the word. She says, "I've met unhappy successful people and happy 'unsuccessful' people. There's no one road to happiness, it doesn't exist, it's an illusion. Happiness is now and it's up to you to feel it in the moment. This song is me working through all this, and trying to be present and happy in my own way."You can see Cam opening for Sam Smith next Saturday in Austin.

Eric Church still believes that his fans should hear his music before the critics. That's why his fan club got to hear his new song, "Desperate Man", yesterday… but it didn't come out until today.

He'll even be sending them a free copy of the album. It's also called "Desperate Man", and it goes on sale October 5th.

Eric Church, Desperate Man Track Listing:

1. "The Snake" 2. "Hanging Around" 3. "Heart Like a Wheel" 4. "Some of It" 5. "Monsters" 6. "Hippie Radio" 7. "Higher Wire" 8. "Desperate Man" 9. "Solid" 10. "Jukebox and a Bar" 11. "Drowning Man"

Music City Minute: Eric Church, Brett Young, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan

Eric Church fans have been waiting for him to make an announcement he’s been teasing all week on social media, and the news is finally here! Eric announced his next album is done! It’ll be called “Desperate Man” and that’s also the name of the next single. You can listen to it now if you’re a member of the “Church Choir” Eric’s fan group. The album will be out October 5th!

Oh. My. Heaven. Brett Young has done it again! Brett Young took the stage at the Country in the Park event at West Windsor, N.J. last weekend and mesmerized fans by covering Garth Brooks 1995 single “She’s Every Woman” it will absolutely just make you melt!

Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini and Luke Bryan are cooking something up. What? We don't know yet.Over the course of the last 24 hours, all three artists have posted individual photos on Instagram--without captions--that depict their faces created on landscapes, kind of like you would see in a corn maze. Some fans have theorized that Jason and Kelsea may be joining Luke on his six-date Farm Tour (Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 4-6), but Kelsea is busy opening for Keith Urban's Graffiti U Tour each of the six dates of Farm Tour, and Jason has existing performances listed on his tour schedule that coincide with dates on Luke's Farm Tour. So we have no idea, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon!

Music City Minute: Jason Aldean, Eric Church

Jason Aldean revealed via Instagram that he and wife Brittany are expecting their second child together!Jason posted a photo of their seven-month-old son Memphis donning a "Big Brother" onesie with the caption: "Sup everybody. guess who is gonna be a BIG brother!"Jason and Brittany, who wed in 2015, welcomed baby boy Memphis in December 2017. Jason also has two daughters, Keeley, 15, and Kendyl,10, from his first marriage.

Speaking of Jason Aldean PBS featured Jason on their "Breaking Big" series. They went back to his childhood growing up in Macon, Georgia, and featured old photos and interviews with family, friends, and music types.

They spent a lot of time on what it took for him to "break big", obviously… and it's pretty fascinating. They interviewed an educator who said Jason was so serious about music that he practiced 12 hours a day… year after year.

He started playing clubs at 14, and all the hard work paid off when he began winning talent contests. That talent got him to Nashville and a record deal, but it wasn't overnight success. Thing were constantly changing and Jason explains, "At the time, Nashville was a different game. You had a lot of boy bands that were hot.

"So, they were trying to make artists look like a boy band member. [I'd] always wore boots and jeans. And [they were like] 'take the hat off'… and I just wasn't that guy, I wasn't comfortable doing that stuff and I was dropped from the label.

"It was hard, when you get dropped from a record company, you're almost like blacklisted and all the other labels are like 'Something's wrong. He must have got dropped for a reason.'"

He was pretty sure the dream was over. He told his mom he was thinking of giving it up, and he called his cousin hoping to get hooked up with a factory job in Georgia. But… he had a couple of things to finish up first.

One of those "things" was a showcase, and he rocked the house so hared that a new label signed him. And then "Hicktown" became a hit and he had a career. (The boy band stuff comes at 10:14. The almost quitting is at 12:35.)

Eric Church fans, he has some news dropping in the next couple of days, and he is stirring up excitement for the big reveal with a post to social media.

The superstar is rumored to be releasing a new single tomorrow and he is hinting at a special announcement across social media. Yesterday he simply posted "July 12th - 9:00am EST" in white lettering over a black backdrop via Instagram, while his website homepage features a clock counting down to that day.

Eric hasn’t provided any information on what's coming, leaving it up to fans' imaginations about what to expect. Of course we’re intrigued and trying to figure out if it’s a new single, album or possible tour announcement.

This is interesting too apparently a radio station in Oklahoma said they saw a video teasing a new single but that it’s since been removed. Luckily we only have to wait until tomorrow to find out the big news!

Music City Minute: Luke Bryan, Josh Abbott, Miranda Lambert

With a new venue slated to open on Nashville’s Lower Broadway, Luke Bryan will soon be following in the foodie footsteps of Alan Jackson (AJ’s Good Time Bar), Dierks Bentley (Whiskey Row), Florida Georgia Line (FGL House), John Rich (Redneck Riviera), Blake Shelton (Ole Red) and Jason Aldean (Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar).According to the Tennessean, which cited Metro Historic Zoning Commission documents, Luke is planning to open the new venue at 301 Broadway. The new restaurant will be named Luke’s 32 Bridge Kitchen + Drink.32 Bridge is also the name of Luke’s clothing line.Ohio-based TC Restaurant Group purchased the building at 301 Broadway for $5.5 million in March. The Group’s portfolio also includes Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar and FGL House.

Josh Abbott married his girlfriend Taylor Parnell on Sunday in Austin, Texas. Their 14-month-old daughter Emery was one of the flower girls. The groomsmen included his bandmates Austin Davis and Preston Wait, plus his brother Chance. The wedding colors were neutral and soothing… green from the arrangements and the champagne from the girls’ dresses.”

The greenery and lighting was a really important part of the theme. We wanted everyone to forget they were indoors for the night, but in the middle of a Texas summer, air conditioning is a must,” the couple explain.

Josh said, “Taylor was born and raised in Austin. Her grandparents are influential in her life and we didn’t want to make them travel for a destination wedding. Ultimately, the convenience and proximity of a wedding in downtown Austin was too good to pass up”

This part is interesting too. Josh wanted them write their own vows but Taylor said NO because she didn't want to compete with a professional songwriter. They are off on their honeymoon Cabo.

People did an entire article where you can read more and see photos here.
