Miles in the Morning
I grew up in a tiny town off I-35 between Temple and Waco called Lorena where I graduated with a whopping 59 people. Yep, small town indeed. Growing up it was all about sports for me. Played football, basketball, and baseball in school and wanted anything to give it a shot in baseball on a bigger scale. So I went to a few different colleges pursuing that dream but it just never panned out. But good thing it didn't, because that's how I got started in radio. More on that in a bit......
Right out of high school, I joined the Army National Guard and trained to be a Combat Medic here in San Antonio at Ft. Sam Houston. Once I finished the training I went back home to go to college and played baseball at Hill Junior College, followed a girl to Austin and spent a couple of years there and then on to Brownwood to retry the baseball thing at Howard Payne University, which brings me all the way back to how I started my career behind the mic.
