A hundred Brazilian surfers attempt to ride a wave and set a new Guinness World Record for the most surfers riding one wave simultaneously, at 'Quebra Mar' beach, in Santos, some 80km south of Sao Paulo, Brazil, 02 September 2007. The event is part of the 1st Earthwave Global Surf Challenge project which aims to raise awareness of global warming and issue a call to action on how to reduce our impact on climate change. The project is taking place also in South Africa -which has the last record with 73 surfers at the same time- Australia, Reunion Island, Portugal, Argentina, England, the USA and Tahiti.
