Last week, Lane saw the couple return to the diner, this time without baby Glory. So Lane asked about the little one.
To Lane's horror, the couple said Glory died unexpectedly of unknown causes. The waitress was shocked and wanted to do something for the Riddles, so she left this note for the couple instead of a bill: "Your ticket has been paid for. We are terribly sorry for your loss. God bless. –The West Side"
The Riddles posted the story to Facebook, deeply touched that Lane would do something so kind. They both said they want Glory’s life to have purpose. They believe that seemingly small act of kindness by the waitress is testament to the fact that their baby touched the lives of the people she met in her short life.
"We were grateful to see that there are good people in the world and that people want to help," Debbie Riddle told KTVT.
The couple has created a Facebook page called Glory's Garden in memory of their daughter.
