Army Spc. Christopher Michael Harris, 25, of Jackson Springs, North Carolina, was killed while deployed in Afghanistan back in August. Before Harris passed away, his wife, Britt Harris, discovered she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. She told him a week before she received news that her husband was killed serving our country.
Harris was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division based in North Carolina according to the Department of Defense.
Britt Harris didn’t want the U.S. Army and Harris’s comrades to feel left out as they were still mourning their fallen friend and soldier. Harris got to work by contacting the Army and shipped confetti poppers to Afghanistan for the soldiers. In a video posted to YouTube, the troops gathered in front of an American flag with the poppers in hand, check out the reveal below!
Congratulations to the Harris Family and a HUGE THANK YOU to those who serve for their sacrifices.
