Spurs head coach, Gregg Popovich shared with reporters, “I’ll be surprised if [Kawhi Leonard] returns this season. The 26-year-old Leonard is in his 7th season and has already missed the first 27 games of the season. He was able to compete in nine games before returning to the injury reserve at the start of 2018.
Kawhi Leonard has been rehabilitating a right quadriceps tendinopathy (a form of tendon pain often associated with exercise or with movement) and has reportedly told team doctors he wasn’t ready to play when cleared back on December 12th.
