The UTSA College of Engineering will hold its first Technology Symposium showcasing innovative student projects and research performed across multiple disciplines, including engineering, architecture, business and science. The symposium, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 in the H-E-B University Center Ballroom on the UTSA Main Campus.
Technology Symposium highlights:
• Keynote by Catherine M. Burzik, former CEO of Kinetic Concepts, Inc. and current advisor to several venture capital-backed biotech companies
• Exhibition of senior engineering student Capstone Projects, featuring 157 students in 37 groups representing civil, electrical and mechanical engineering
• 7th annual UTSA Architecture, Business, Engineering and Science (ABES) student conference, featuring student research and other significant accomplishments
• Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE) $100K Student Technology Venture Competition, where 10 teams of business and engineering students will compete to win $100,000 in cash and business-related services
