Gemini Ink Workshop #13 Poet as Witness Instructor: Laurie Ann Guerrero In his memoir, Pablo Neruda says, “The poet didn’t scare off when they said he was a rebel. Poetry is a rebellion.” In this workshop, we will explore the politics of poetry in our culture and how our own poems might help create change. We will also explore longevity and the techniques that help the poem live beyond the poet and events which prompted it.
