WHEN:  The Connections Curriculum National Training will be held Friday, November 2 through Sunday, November 4, 2012. (Participants should check into the hotel on Thursday, November 1 as training begins at 8:30 am on Friday.)WHO:  The National Trainings will be facilitated by Brené Brown with co-facilitators, Robert Hilliker and Eric Williams.TRAINING LOCATION:  The Hotel Contessa on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas (306 W. The National Training fee is $1,250, which includes training, CEU's, lunches each training day, as well as morning breaks (equivalent to a continental breakfast) and afternoon breaks. Access to the fitness center as well as complimentary wireless, local and toll free telephone calls are also included in this fee. SCHEDULE:  Training is held over a 3-day weekend, starting at 8:30 am on Friday and ending at approximately 1:00 pm on Sunday. This currently includes: Social Workers, Psychologists, Professional Counselors, Psychiatric Nurses, Psychiatrists, ICF-Certified Coaches, Clergy, Criminal Justice Professionals, Pastoral Counselors, Addiction Professionals, Marriage and Family TherapistsLICENSURE:  Facilitators should have the appropriate licensure and/or training to do psycho-educational work with groups, as dictated by their accrediting entity. Please contact your licensing/certification boards to determine eligibility to meet your continuing education requirements.CONTINUING EDUCATION:  Connections Curriculum, LLC is:Approved CEU provider for NASW, NBCC, TSBSWE, TSBEMFT, TSBEPC, and ICF. Pending CEU provider for the TCBAP and NAADAC. Fifteen (15) hours of continuing education will be available through the certification process, which includes three (3) hours of Ethics. Because the Intensive Retreat portion of the certification process is about completing your own work, continuing education credits are not available for the Intensive Retreat.The Connections Certification Team of Trainers believes that the best people to facilitate this work are those who do their own work of cultivating shame resiliency.  Connections Curriculum, LLC maintains responsibility for the program and its content. CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS OFFERED:  Friday- 5.5 Hours, Saturday- 5.5 Hours, Sunday- 4.0 Hours (includes 3 hours of Ethics)STUDENTS:  Students can also begin certification but must be fully licensed in their field before receiving designation as a Certified Connections Facilitator (CCF). All students must complete the certification process within two years of the initiation of Connections training.CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION:  You must attend the Training in its entirety. No partial credit will be given. No exceptions.
