Music City Minute: Miranda Lambert, Kesha, Garth Brooks

Miranda Lambert is switching it up a little! She’s featured on a new version of Green Day's "Ordinary World", which is on their new greatest hits collection that just came out on Friday.

I thought this was interesting… you know the show "CMT Crossroads"? They’re known for bringing artists together from different genres like Florida Georgia Line and the Backstreet Boys. This time they’re bringing together Old Crow Medicine Show and Kesha. It’ll debut December 6th.

Garth Brooks went on the Ellen show yesterday and talked more about lip-synching at the CMA Awards. He compared award shows to Christmas trees, saying they're both symbolic. It's what happens between him and his fans that matters.

He said, "What it's all about are the people who put their butts in the seat, fight that traffic, pay that parking. That's who you want to save your voice for. If it happened again tomorrow, I'd make the same decision." Check out the video below, skip to 1:46.

Music City Minute: Mel Tillis, Jason Aldean, Sugarland, Jon Pardi

Legendary country star Mel Tillis passed away yesterday. He was 85. He'd been in poor health since having major surgery last year. The suspected cause of death is respiratory failure.

Mel was a Country Music Hall of Fame singer and songwriter, as well as an actor and comedian. He was known for his stutter, which became a trademark. He even titled his autobiography "Stutterin' Boy". Some of our favorite country stars offered their condolences:

Blake Shelton: "What a truly devastating loss. I loved Mel. I will miss him terribly."

Tim McGraw: "One of the coolest guys in country, and an extraordinary songwriter."

Billy Ray Cyrus: "Kindest man I've ever known."

In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight", Jon Pardi kind of let it slip that he and Miranda Lambert have recorded music together. He called it "secret information", said it "sounds awesome"…and then blurted out, "It might come about in the third record."

As we officially enter baby watch for Jason Aldean's son Memphis, Aldean's wife, Brittany, shared several pictures from the couple's recent maternity photo shoot together. The stunning outdoor pictures were taken next to a tranquil creek, with Russell Dickerson's wife, Kailey, actually serving as the photographer. Some of the photos show the couple walking hand in hand by the creek and kissing, while others show Brittany in a beautiful embroidered white gown as she holds her baby bump.

After hinting at their return during the CMA Awards, Sugarland has now confirmed that they are indeed working on new music together! The duo's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush shared a Facebook Live video on Friday morning, updating fans from their photo shoot in New York. While no specific details or dates were revealed about their new music, Jennifer said, "We've been writing and in studio together and have new music coming your way." The duo also told fans that they can sign up for Sugarland's email list on their website for the latest updates.

J.R. & BETH IN THE MORNING’S PICK THREE

J.R. and Beth along with Producer Chris spend a lot of time around country music so what songs are their favorites right now? Each week J.R. & Beth in the Morning will highlight their favorite country songs as part of ‘J.R. & Beth’s Pick Three’.

You can listen to J.R. & Beth in the Morning discuss their picks here.

Producer Chris’s Pick: Brothers Osborne - “It Ain’t My Fault”

Album: Pawn Shop (2016)

“I’ve always liked this song, but when I saw it performed at the CMAs, I got goosebumps!” - Chris

Beth’s Pick: Brad Paisley - “Heaven South”

Album: Love and War (2017)

“I saw it for the first time at the CMAS! Brad Paisley and Kane Brown performed it together and it just reminded me of that ‘small town feel’ and I was just like ‘AW!’” - Beth

J.R.’s Pick: Thomas Rhett - “Marry Me”

Album: Life Changes (2017)

“I saw this guy in concert, saw him sing this and it was amazing! It’s not your typical love song... you have to listen to the whole thing because it takes a big twist!” - J.R.

What song is YOUR pick for this week? Comment below!

Music City Minute: Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line

Taylor Swift is heading back to country radio! Big Machine Label Group has just serviced the song "New Year's Day" from Taylor's new album, Reputation, to country radio stations nationwide, causing a lot of excitement in the format. Earlier this week, Swift gave an emotional performance of "New Year's Day" on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on what was Fallon's first night back following the death of his mother on November 4. The moving performance can be seen here:

Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris have both earned spots on Forbes' annual "30 Under 30" list, which recognizes the most influential figures from 20 separate industries all under 30 years old. Maren and Thomas make the list in the "Music" category, with the publication acknowledging their respective chart successes as well as many accolades. Rhett and Morris, both 27, join an all-star list of game changers in the music world, including pop star Bebe Rexha, Christian singer Lauren Daigle and Paramore's lead vocalist, Hayley Williams.

Carrie Underwood's husband, Mike Fisher, has penned a heartfelt 'thank you' to everyone who's sent Carrie love and support after she broke her wrist in a fall at her Nashville-area home last week. Mike said he's reminded that there are so many good people in this world and also referenced the Bible verse Romans 8:28, writing, "I'm reminded that through our pain, fears and tough times God is with us and He's painting a beautiful story through it all." He then wrote, "Sometimes it's hard to understand why things happen but we thank him and Praise His name in the midst of it all!"Earlier this week, Carrie tweeted that she underwent wrist surgery on Tuesday and is "doing great."

The Country Music Hall of Fame has opened their new "Tim McGraw & Faith Hill Mississippi Woman, Louisiana Man" exhibit. You can see samples of the memorabilia and check out video clips by going to CountryMusicHallOfFame.org. The exhibit runs through June 10th.

Speaking of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Their tour documentary "Tim & Faith: Soul 2 Soul" is debuting tonight on Showtime.

Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha played "Meant to Be" on "The Late Late Show" last night and it was awesome!

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were on the Jimmy Fallon show last night and they played a game called “Search Party” where Faith Hill teamed up with Jimmy and they faced off against Tim McGraw and The Roots in a race to fill in the blank for random Internet search results for queries like "What do country singers always sing about?” Their tour documentary "Tim & Faith: Soul 2 Soul" is debuting tonight on Showtime at 8!

Music City Minute: George Strait, Blake Shelton, & Thomas Rhett!

George Strait’s mansion is for sale ya’ll! The massive 7,925-square-foot home in The Dominion is valued at $3.9 million, and sits on 12.2 acres of land. Three bedrooms, four full baths, two half baths, a guest home, and an infinity pool are all included in the home. The eventual buyer will get 14 hand-sculpted fireplaces, imported adobe materials, stained glass and custom painted artist murals, according to the property's listing. You can check out some pictures on our Y100 Facebook page!

The rumors are true! "People" magazine's Sexiest Man Alive is Blake Shelton! And like all the rest, he's pretending to be humble about it.

He says that when they told him he got it, his first thought was, "Y'all must be running out of people. Like, Wow, we're down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical."

Blake's "Voice" co-star Adam Levine wore the crown in 2013, which makes the victory that much sweeter. Blake says, "I can't wait to shove this up Adam's behind.”

"As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that's really the only thing I care about."

Thomas Rhett is going to be the halftime show performer at the Dallas Cowboys - Los Angeles Chargers game on Thanksgiving Day. It'll be the official kickoff of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign.

The Y100 Bud Light 8 Man Jam is tonight! If you still need tickets, don’t worry our last ticket stop is today at Alamo City Chevrolet from 12-2 at 9400 San Pedro Ave!

Music City Minute: Kelsea Ballerini, Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, and Justin Moore

Kelsea Ballerini decided to do something a little different to celebrate the release of her new album “Unapologetically” but also wanted to stay true to her roots. The “Legends” singer returned to her high school in Nashville to play an exclusive show! Kelsea said:"You know those places in your life that you can't really describe there's just a magic about it, that's that school for me. And I was there for two years it was right before I moved to Nashville? It was just really like two life defining years for me it was the two years where I really think I grew up. Like that stage was the first time I ever played a song that I'd written for anyone onstage like, it was the first that I was in a musical. I mean, it was just a really important place for me. And so, to be able to kick off the release of my album there I feel like it's the most pure form of starting chapter two."

Kelsea’s album “Unapologetically” also features a song also called ‘High School’... coincidence?

Nashville rallied together for a benefit show, ‘Country Rising’ to help raise money for those affected by the Las Vegas tragedy and the recent hurricanes. The benefit show included performances from Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, George Strait, and many more. Jason Aldean, who was performing during the Vegas tragedy, said, “I spent a lot of time and a long time trying to make it in this business and doing something that I really enjoy. I’ll be damned if anybody is ever going to stop me from doing that.”

Sam Hunt, who also performed at the ‘Country Rising’ benefit show, shared he felt performing was something he had to do.

"Unfortunately, there have been some tragic events that have affected a lot of people in this country, and I have witnessed a lot of it through social media and my heart has been broken many times this year. And, I have been trying to find a way to step up and do my part to help a lot of these people who have been affected and when I was asked to be a part of this event, [I] didn't hesitate to step up and try to do my part."

Donations are still being accepted and you can support the cause by texting "NASHVILLE" to 41010 to make a $10 donation or by visiting www.CountryRising.org.

Y100 Bud Light 8 Man Jam artist Justin Moore caught up with J.R. & Beth before the huge show tomorrow. One of the things a lot of us were curious about was how Justin and his wife came to the agreement of naming their son, “South”.

The baby boy’s full name is Thomas South Moore and is named after his grandfather. Too many times we’ve seen famous people name their kids outlandish things so this was one of the cooler stories and who doesn’t love the “South”?

Music City Minute: Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, Carrie Underwood, & LANCO!

It wouldn’t be November without a little Christmas music! Right!? Luke Bryan is really proud of his newly-released version of the holiday classic, “O Holy Night” and we are too!

Exciting news in country music over the weekend, Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber welcome their son into the world Saturday in Athens, Georgia. Barrett Hardy-Clay Gilbert made his debut at Piedmont Hospital about a week early weighing in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Baby Barrett’s middle name, the hyphenated Hardy-Clay, comes from each parent’s family. Hardy comes from Amber’s father’s side and Clay from Gilbert’s side.

Brantley says, “Honestly, I’m just speechless, Amber and I are just so thankful and blessed to have this beautiful little boy, it’s even more than I could’ve ever imagined.”

He is just the cutest, People Magazine already put out the first photos and you have to see this one where he looks like he’s flexing!

Carrie Underwood did amazing hosting the CMA Awards last week but had some bad luck Friday night. She fell on the steps outside her house and broke her wrist and sustained other injuries. She was treated at a hospital for cuts and abrasions in addition to her wrist injury. The hospital statement says the recovery will “take some time” so it sounds like a pretty bad fall. We’ll keep you posted. But in the meantime, here are all of her looks from the CMA Awards Wednesday night.

LANCO opened up for Dustin Lynch Saturday night at Cowboys and did an amazing job, everyone loved when they sang “Greatest Love Story”!

Music City Minute: Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, & Mean Tweets!

Sugarland surprised everyone at the CMAs when they came out to present the Vocal Duo of the Year award to Brothers Osborne. And then they rattled off the years they won it, and added, "and well, who knows?"

That's an obvious hint that we might see them win it again someday. Then later that night they performed at a Big Machine Label Group party for the first time in FIVE years. We saw them sing “Stay” and I freaked out!

Then yesterday, an email went out from a record company rep saying that Sugarland is "expected to make an announcement about new music in the coming weeks."

In case you missed it, several country stars read their Mean Tweets on "Jimmy Kimmel Live". They include Zac Brown, Cassadee Pope, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Randy Houser, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, Jana Kramer, Chris Young, Chris Stapleton, Jake Owen, Little Big Town, and Justin Moore. It’s hilarious as usual!

I didn't see a Carrie Underwood baby bump on Wednesday at the CMAs… but other people did. Or imagined they did. There are a TON of Tweets from people who are convinced she's pregnant. Most say the big clue was her choice of dresses. Some are saying she grabbed her belly multiple times.

Beth’s Backstage Blog From Nashville!

For the next week we’re in Nashville for the CMA Awards! The show is Wednesday night at 7pm at the Bridgestone arena and we are SO excited.

All this week we’re broadcasting live out here so tomorrow, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday you can hear us interviewing a ton of your favorite country artists!

I was able to come to Nashville a couple years ago as some of you might remember so I did a lot of fun tourist stuff then, I went to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Ryman, and Studio B. So, this time I wanted to explore some of the shopping Nashville has to offer!

As soon as I landed I took an Uber to the hotel, dropped off my suitcases and hit the road! Let me just say it’s fall here you guys, the trees are BEAUTIFUL! I told J.R. we have to go to a park one day before we leave so I can take pictures of the trees and show you. Anyway, when I landed I was starving and like I do every time I go to a new city I checked out Yelp! to find the best food. I headed over to a restaurant called The Grilled Cheeserie and YOU GUYS this place was HEAVEN!

I did my research and that restaurant was in one of the shopping neighborhoods called Hillsboro Village. I saw some cool “pieces” as all the fashionistas say, which means articles of clothing, haha, but I only found one.. ONE shirt! It’s just a green v-neck that can go with some jackets I have. Then after that neighborhood I went over to one called The Gulch, and 12 South. I did see an amazing jacket with fringe all over but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $155 on it. That’s A LOT!

After I shopped till I dropped I headed back to the hotel because my room was ready and unpacked everything, hung stuff on hangers, and got settled! J.R. was already at the hotel and was waiting for me to get ready. Right when I started to do my make-up I realized I FORGOT some off it! Crisis, seriously. I had to text J.R. and say “Look I’m sorry but I have to take an Uber to go buy this make-up” he laughed at me of course but crisis averted I got the make-up!

Finally, I finished getting ready and met up with J.R. in the lobby and he’s been to Nashville several times so he knows where the cool spots are! We went over to a favorite bar of his called “Dawg House” and had a couple beers there after the make-up fiasco!

Then he reminded me my FAVORITE place I’ve always wanted to go to is HERE! FGL House ya’ll! So we took an Uber over to the restaurant and bar that Florida Georgia Line own and it is AWESOME! Since I didn’t find a lot of clothes earlier at the shops, I totally need an FGL shirt as a souvenir, I didn’t want to carry it around all night so I’ll have to go back before we leave.

Then, we went by Tootsie’s, a famous bar here in Nashville with TONS of live music on three different levels, it’s so cool! We saw one of J.R.’s friends and enjoyed some music. We thought we were finally staying out late for once and then we realized it was only 9pm haha! By this time we were both starving and I asked if we could eat at this yummy looking place I found on Yelp! called The Stillery, so we went there and had some amazing food! After that we were stuffed and called it a night!

Sunday November 5th:

Alright ya’ll today is the day! We have orientation for our CMA broadcast that starts tomorrow. The orientation is today at 5pm but until then we basically have free time. We got an extra hour of sleep with Daylight Saving Time so that was amazing! After eating everything on the planet yesterday I had to go get a workout in, so I can keep eating all the things! But of course before you work out you need to eat something so I decided to treat myself to room service while watching “Say Yes to the Dress” and it was so perfect!

Then I headed over to this place I discovered in San Antonio called Cyclebar, it’s basically a fancier name for a spin class, except you get a mimosa after your work out! Talk about motivation! I ended up burning some calories from the mac and cheese I had last night.

The trees here are AMAZING, we’re heading to a park later this week to take some pictures of them, but just as a teaser I saw this on the ground and HAD to take a pic.

Eventually I met up with JR at the hotel and we met up with some of his friends back at Bad Dawgs where I had a boring, healthy, chicken salad. Then it was time to head over to the orientation where Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood gave a press conference!

Tomorrow we do the show live and heartbreakingly will talk about the tragedy that happened in Sutherland Springs, we just wanted to know we are with ya’ll in spirit even if we aren’t physically in Texas. It’s breaking our hearts and obviously something we can’t ignore. We aren’t sure of how Tuesday will go on air, but tomorrow our interviews start with the artists about CMAs so we’ll keep you posted.

Music City Minute: New Album’s From Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, & Lee Brice!

Country music fans today is a big day! Blake Shelton’s new album “Texoma Shore” is finally out today! He’s been putting out a new song from the album every day this week, you can check out today’s below it’s called “Why Me”:

We’ve been waiting for Kelsea Ballerini’s album “Unapoligetically” for what seems like forever, that’s out today too! Along with Lee Brice’s self-titled album, he’ll be at Cowboys December 2nd!

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were on "Good Morning America" talking about next week's CMAs. They also reminisced about previous years that they hosted.

Robin Roberts said one of her favorites was their attempt to do the "Gangnam Style" dance, and she showed a clip of them looking pretty stiff.

Brad said, quote, "That's me willing to do anything for this show." Carrie added, "We are willing to make ourselves look terrible. We just put it all out there."

They talked about how the CMAs always have great collaborations, and Brad said he's looking forward to his performance with Kane Brown. "I get to sing with him. It's always exciting when you see someone making their debut on this show.

"They really are thinking outside the box in terms of making sure that there are really cool collaborations that you don't expect. I predict, though, that the highlight of our show is Carrie." Unfortunately, he didn't go on.

And then Carrie said, "If it is, it has absolutely nothing to do with me. It's going to be a really special moment." So, we're left thinking Carrie's special moment may be, in Brad's words, "a cool collaboration." Any ideas who that would be?

Music City Minute: Kip Moore, Blake Shelton, & Merle Haggard

Kip Moore fans if you missed him on the Today show yesterday he performed “More Girls Like You”:

Merle Haggard is the latest country star whose name will appear on a museum in downtown Nashville. On Monday, Merle's family joined Icon Entertainment Group - the management behind the Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline Museums - to reveal plans for the Merle Haggard Museum and its accompanying restaurant, Merle's Meat + 3 Saloon. The museum will feature some of Haggard's performance wardrobes, instruments and possessions, as well as interactive exhibits. The museum and restaurant are slated to open in the summer of 2018.

The list of performers at New York City's upcoming 91st Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will include some of our favorite country stars. As you watch the parade look out for Dustin Lynch, Lauren Alaina, Cam and Sara Evans on Thanksgiving. The artists will either perform on board one of Macy's signature floating stages, or at Herald Square where Macy's flagship department store is located.

Blake Shelton’s new album “Texoma Shore” is coming out tomorrow and all week he’s been celebrating early by releasing a new song from the album each day. Today’s song is called “Money” and it shows Blake with some country swag:

Music City Minute: Halloween Costumes, A Pregnancy Announcement, & Blake Shelton’s New Album!

Our favorite country stars got all dressed up for Halloween and we are loving their Instagram posts showing off their costumes! Brittany and Jason Aldean were Axl and she said she was a pregnant Egyptian lady, Lauren Alaina and her man were Foxy Cleopatra and Austin Powers, Carrie Underwood and her hubby were a hunter catching his deer, and this was probably my favorite Thomas Rhett was a beer keeper and his daughters were bees!

Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane have revealed that they're expecting twins, expanding their growing family to four. Morgane made the announcement on Monday night in a sweet Instagram post marking the couple's tenth wedding anniversary. She wrote, "14 years, 2 babies, & 2 more on the way. Happy 10 year anniversary babe! You make my whole world go round." Chris and Morgane are already the proud parents to a son and a daughter.

Blake Shelton’s album “Texoma Shore” is out Friday so all week he’s putting out a new song every day, todays song is called “Turnin’ Me On”. To promote the album Blake went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and he also played “Carmel Apple Roulette” with Jimmy, where they took turns picking caramel apples that were either apples or raw onions.

Music City Minute: New Blake Shelton Music Every Day This Week!

Blake Shelton released a new song yesterday called "At The House". It's one of the tracks on his "Texoma Shore" album, which drops Friday.

To celebrate he’s releasing a new song every day this week and today’s is called “I Lived It”

Blake Shelton will hit the road again next year on his newly announced "Country Music Freaks Tour," kicking off in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on February 15 and running through March. Music City Minute: Clay Walker, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, & Carrie Underwood

Clay Walker sang the National Anthem at last night’s World Series Game 5 and I think he brought the good luck because eventually the Astros won! Game 6 is in LA tomorrow night at 7!

Blake Shelton’s new album “Texoma Shore” comes out Friday, to celebrate Blake is putting out a new song every morning leading up to the release date! Today’s song is “At The House” and it’s a fun song about hanging out on vacation:

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are hosting the CMA Awards for the 10th year in a row! He said, "We have this shtick now, which we build on. We take on personas a little bit beyond who we really are, as a duo. I get to play the idiot, [and] Carrie gets to be the voice of reason." You could also say he plays the fool, and she's the straight man. Whatever it's called, it's working.

More performers have been announced for the CMA Awards! Keith Urban will now perform along with pop star Pink and Tim McGraw with Faith Hill to the lineup. Keith is also slated to take part in an unprecedented opening collaboration that will feature Eric Church teaming up with Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and more. These artists join previously announced performers, including Garth Brooks, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood. Music City Minute: Brad Paisley, Lee Brice, & Jake Owen

Last night the Astros beat the Dodgers in the 11th inning now they are tied 1-1 for the series. Gonzalez became only the 10th player time in World Series history to hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning, and two innings later, the Astros had three more, including back-to-back homers by Altuve and Correa in the 10th, and Springer’s two-run homer in the 11th.

But before the game Brad Paisley took the field at Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium Wednesday to deliver the National Anthem ahead of the 2017 World Series Game 2.

Lee Brice released the video to a song called “I Don’t Smoke”. It's one of the tracks on his next album, which is due out November 3rd.

Jake Owen put his Nashville home on the market! It’s a 4,918-square-foot mansion he bought from Loretta Lynn and is located just outside of Music City, in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, and is listed for $1.5 million. Built in 2006, the property consists of four bedrooms and four-and-a-half-bathrooms, including two master suites. It also features a chef’s kitchen and a recording studio. While Jake lived in the home, he expanded the master bedroom and renovated the kitchen. According to Zillow, mortgage payments would only be about $5,800 per month. Music City Minute: George Strait, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, & More CMA Performers

So we all know George Strait lives in San Antonio but I feel like George sightings are few and far between. Last night though a George sighting happened!!! He was spotted at The Rustic at The Rim near La Cantera enjoying a drink with friends and watching the Astros game. Our friend Robin said, “We were REALLY close to him. People were taking photos and yelling ‘We love you George!’ That would get his attention and he would turn around and wave. He was just chillin’ by the kitchen area drinking. He was there to kick off his new tequila.” SO jealous!

The CMA Awards have always been known for one-of-a-kind musical collaborations, and this year's ceremony will be no different. The CMA’s just announced four all-star pairings for the November 8th show, they will include Kelsea Ballerini with Reba, Dierks Bentley with Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley with Kane Brown and Maren Morris with pop star Niall Horan. These artists join previously announced CMA performers like Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood.

The show will be hosted for the 10th year by Brad Paisley and Underwood November 8th at 7!

Blake Shelton will be in New York City next week for the launch of his new clothing line with Macy's department stores. It’s called "BS by Blake Shelton," the new clothing line features an assortment of tops and outerwear that match Blake's everyday look, including several button-down plaid shirts and even a leather bomber jacket. The official launch of the line will kick off November 2nd and will be available in stores and online.

You know, guy’s mess things up all the time and Luke Bryan is no different! Luke’s new album "What Makes You Country" is coming out December 8th. Here's the problem with that. It's the same day as his 11th wedding anniversary. Yeah, it kind of slipped by as he and his team planned the release date.

Guess who let it didn't slip by? His wife. Luke said, "I'm at the house, and I'm like, 'Yeah, baby, I'll be up in New York and the album comes out the eighth.' She looked at me and goes, 'Hmm, interesting day for an album release.' And I said, 'I'm sorry baby.

"So I started spinning it. 'Baby, just come to New York and we'll eat great food and we'll walk and look at people at Rockefeller Plaza.' She's like, 'You work 20 hours a days during album release week… but I'll be there.'" I think she’ll be okay with it considering she got a huge ring upgrade on their anniversary last year.

Music City Minute: Tim McGraw, Chris Janson, Maren Morris, Alan Jackson

We got to experience Tim McGraw and the Soul2Soul tour a couple weeks ago, and as you know Chris Janson is doing an amazing job opening for Tim & Faith. Well sometimes the guys like together backstage and have a little jam session, and they did that recently with Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried”.

Maren Morris just made news for something unexpected. She signed a contract with Wilhelmina Models. She's their first country artist. Other musicians on their roster include Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas, and Shawn Mendes.

If you’re wondering what this means for Maren? Well, they're going to get her photo shoots with fashion magazines, they'll help style her for red carpet events, and they're going to set up partnerships with fashion companies. So, maybe a Maren Morris line of clothes?

But she sees something else about this deal that's very important. Quote, "It's been really inspiring to see my fans and young girls look at me as someone to model after. You don't need to look perfect or sound perfect.

"I mean I'm five-foot-one, and I've got short brunette hair. I'm not the typical country-looking starlet. But I think that's what gravitates my fans to me. I have an edge to what I say in my songs and it translates visually as well to my personal style."

Sunday was a big day for Alan Jackson, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame! Alan spoke about how there was one main reason he got into country music, cars. He wanted a lot of cars and couldn’t afford them so he thought well, the only way I might get to do this is becoming a singer.

George Strait and Loretta Lynn were on stage to present Alan Jackson with his induction medal and unveiled the plaque with his name on it. Then, bless her heart Loretta Lynn said this was the first time she’s been out since her stroke but she had to make it for Alan.

You can watch the induction for Alan Jackson, and see the sweet words Loretta had for him:
