Music City Minute: Dierks Bentley, CAM, Brad Paisley, Florida Georgia Line

After announcing his new "2018 Mountain High Tour" yesterday, Dierks Bentley sat with his openers Brothers Osborne and LANCO at his Whiskey Row bar and restaurant in Nashville and talked about the tour announcement video. In the announcement Dierks takes on the role of a dreadlocked shaman as he helps LANCO and Brothers Osborne search for enlightenment on a psychedelic-induced journey.

The first round of tickets go on sale Friday – Dierks will make a stop in Austin, Houston, and Dallas!

CAM performed the Cranberries' classic "Zombie" during a "tribute night" at a club in Nashville. It was in honor of Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan, who passed away last week.

We know Brad Paisley is coming for the rodeo February 19th and 20th but it’s Brad’s proficiency with a paintbrush that getting everyone's attention this week. On Monday, Brad unveiled a wall mural at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, which he actually helped paint with the local artist Rob Hendon. The Music City-themed mural features a big acoustic guitar as well as several nods to the hometown hockey team, the Nashville Predators. The mural was revealed as part of Brad’s announcement that he's adding an April 6th stop at the Bridgestone Arena as part of his "Weekend Warrior World Tour."

And remember to DVR or watch The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight, Florida Georgia Line & Bebe Rexha will be on to sing their song “Meant to Be”.

Spurs Move Parker to Bench, Start Murray

He’s only 21 years old and Spurs guard Dejounte Murray has been appointed starter over Spurs vet and four-time champion, Tony Parker. The Spurs have been plagued by injuries this season and have used several rotations throughout the year at the guard positions. The recent change occurred before the Spurs took on the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. Spurs head coach, Gregg Popovich reportedly pulled Parker aside to tell him, “he thought it was time.”

“I was just like, ‘Oh, no problem,’” Parker told ESPN. “Just like Manu, just like Pau, that day’s going to come. And if Pop sees something that is good for the team, I’ll try to do my best.”

To his credit, Murray has shown flashes of the versatile player the Spurs saw when they drafted the 6’5 Washington guard. He’s even put up double digits in rebounds in multiple games, something no Spurs point guard pulled off with ease since Rod Strickland achieved the feat during the 1989-90 season.

Spurs fans shouldn’t be surprised at Parker’s “team-first” attitude. That mentality has been behind the Spurs longevity of success. Even with injuries looming over the team all year, the Spurs are still sitting at fourth place in the Western Conference behind only the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Golden State Warriors.

The Spurs will put their new starting point guard to the test when they host LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night at 7pm at the AT&T Center.

You can read more on the Spurs change at the point guard position from our friends at KSAT 12, here!

Music City Minute: Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley

In Miranda Lambert's 2015 hit "Little Red Wagon" she sings the line "I live in Oklahoma" which she no longer does with her then husband Blake Shelton. Now in her new 2018 "Live Like Hippies" tour she sings a different line and it has her crowds cheering. Miranda found a rather intense replacement for the lyric during the opening night of her tour January 18th in Greenville, S.C. In a fan video posted to Instagram, Miranda struts and shimmies her way on stage up to the fateful verse, before replacing the line with a pointed "I got the hell out of Oklahoma!"

Carrie Underwood can't resist a sweet moment in her home and she shared one on Saturday On Instagram. The video was of her husband Mike Fisher reading aloud to their 2½-year-old son Isaiah from a colorful, biblical storybook. Carrie captioned the precious moment, "Story time with Daddy? Learning about Noah? and my heart melts?." Isaiah learned all about Noah and his arc and he’s pretty knowledgeable about all the animals.

Speaking of Carrie Underwood she shared a picture that shows just how serious her wrist fracture was following the fall she took in November. On Friday, she posted an x-ray image of her wrist online, revealing the plate and screws that were inserted during surgery. In the caption, Carrie said Friday's doctor visit marked the last check up on her wrist, adding that she was now "good to go!" Carrie also thanked her doctor and physical therapist for fixing her up. Aside from her wrist surgery, Carrie also had more than 40 facial stitches due to the fall.

Dierks Bentley has always embraced having personal interactions with his fans, and now they have a new way to stay connected. On Friday, Dierks tweeted that if anybody needed to reach him over the weekend, they could call his "mountain line": 970-426-5381. Upon calling the number, Bentley can be heard saying he was sorry to miss the call, but was up on the mountain right now. He then says to leave a voicemail and he'll try to call back. The phone number's Western Colorado area code encompasses the small town of Telluride, where Dierks wrote and recorded much of his new album, The Mountain.

Music City Minute: The Grammys, LANCO, Jason Aldean, Chris Young

Three of the artists who performed at last year's Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas will team up at the Grammy Awards to honor victims of concert tragedies. Eric Church, Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne are all slated to take the Grammy stage on January 28, coming together for a touching tribute in honor of those affected by the tragic shooting at the Las Vegas festival as well as other victims of concert violence. During the night, the Recording Academy will also take a moment to honor the victims lost to gun violence and terrorism at live music events over the course of the past year. These artists join previously announced Grammy performers, including Little Big Town, Elton John, U2, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Pink and more.Hosted by TV personality James Corden, the 60th Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from New York's Madison Square Garden on January 28 at 6:30 PM. It’s definitely going to be an emotional night for everyone, including Eric Church, who says he feels a personal connection to the people that lost their lives in Vegas because a lot of them frequently attended Eric’s shows.

As LANCO releases their debut album, Hallelujah Nights today, the band's Brandon Lancaster talks about how the record's title track sets its tone:

He says, "It kind of encompasses the theme of the entire album which is no matter what situation you're in, looking at the moments you're given and realizing that they're special and the people around you and the things you're going through, you know, you won't get those back and to make the most of them. That's to us what a 'hallelujah night' is."

Check out their next single “Born to Love You”:

Jason Aldean announced a new tour yesterday! The "High Noon Neon Tour," kicks off in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 10. The new tour will hit 34 cities across the country through the fall and will feature special guests Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina. Jason named the tour after a song that appears on his next album, which he says reminds him of the bars he played in Georgia when he was cutting his teeth. Tickets for select dates go on sale beginning January 26. He’ll make a stop in Dallas July 28th.

It turns out wrestler turned actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a big fan of Chris Young's music. The revelation of The Rock’s love for his music came after the he responded to a tweet from Chris which praised the actor's new film, Jumanji. After thanking Chris for his kind words about his new film, The Rock opened up about what one of the country star's songs did for him. He tweeted, "For the record, 'The Man I Want to Be' came along at the perfect time. Helped me get thru some tough times but that's for another conversation over tequila."Responding to The Rock on Instagram, Chris soon assured The Rock that he'd take him up on the offer. Chris said, "Yeah... I'll drink tequila with @therock anytime... also, go see #Jumanji it's too good."

Music City Minute: Keith Urban + Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, & Miranda Lambert

Keith Urban had a few surprises for his Nashville fans on last night during a free pop-up show at the city's Exit/In venue. But Keith didn't just stop by to perform some songs he also had several major announcements to make. While onstage, Keith surprised the crowd by announcing the release of his next studio album, Graffiti U, and also revealing its accompanying world tour. And if those announcements weren't cool enough, Keith then welcomed the tour's opener, Kelsea Ballerini, to the stage to help him perform the Camila Cabello song "Never Be the Same." Keith and Kelsea will make a stop in Dallas November 3rd.

Dierks Bentley has a brand-new song called "Woman, Amen." Dierks explains that this song is an ode to his wife Cassie. He says, “The song's about gratitude, and the song's just the cracks in your heart and love and how you really need to have those failures and those cracks to really let love get in, so it's an inspiring song. I think it's an album that has a lot of gratitude in the album throughout every song. So, it's a good song to really just get that message out there, and all that gratitude for me starts at home. There'd be nothing without Cass and the way she's not only made my life, she's been through the ups and downs and made me a better person. I don't know where I'd be without her."

Dierks goes on to say, "Our journey together has made me the man I am today. I doubt my heart would even recognize the old me. This song addresses that in the most direct possible way."Dierks will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to perform the new song! The video for the song gives a glimpse into its creation, featuring shots from the Telluride, Colorado, studio where it was recorded mixed with clips of the epic mountain landscapes surrounding the area.

Jason Aldean shared a photo of his infant son in full-scream mode. He captioned it, "Brittany is always posting pics of Memphis that are good, but this is actually the stuff she doesn't post."

While the recent batch of winter weather caused many in the country world to rejoice, Miranda Lambert's experience with the snow was much less exciting. Miranda updated her fans on her snow day situation late Tuesday night, posting a series of Instagram videos that show her literally pulling a little red wagon full of her luggage down a snowy driveway. In the video, Miranda explained that she was hauling her things down the driveway because the snow had prevented her tour bus from pulling up to the house. Miranda went on to say that she was preparing to embark on her "Livin' Like Hippies Tour," so improvising a solution was a must. She said,"I'm trapped on my hill and I'm leaving for tour in 4 hours. It's the most cliché, ridiculous thing that's ever happened to me."

Music City Minute: Luke Bryan, Tim & Faith, Midland, Kenny Chesney

As a snow storm headed for Nashville on Monday night, Luke Bryan sat his boys down to share some pretty exciting news with them. In a video posted on Instagram, Luke told his sons and their friends that school had been canceled yesterday and their response is priceless. The video begins with Luke gathering the boys on the couch to tell them the happy news and ends with them jubilantly jumping and screaming to celebrate another day off of school.

Speaking of snow fun – Tim McGraw and Faith Hill recently had a snow day of their own! Faith posted an adorable shot of herself and Tim having a no-holds-barred snowball fight! Then of course they followed it up with the cutest post ever of them kissing.

Midland came on the scene pretty fast last year, and even picked up two Grammy nominations along the way. Quick success like that always brings out the haters. One critic actually accused them of not paying their dues.

That didn't sit well with singer Mark Wystrach. He said, "[That] guy has never seen us live. We take the greatest pride in our ability to play live and to deliver an incredible show.

"And, that's not something that you can fake. You can't fake a live Honky-Tonk or Rock 'n' Roll or Country show. That's something that we've worked at, and it's genuine. That's all we care about.

"Anybody who wants to try to make up falsities about us, come and see us live. Period. That's it."

And you can do that at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo February 11th! Here they are at our Y100 Bud Light 8 Man Jam:

Kenny Chesney is leaving his label home of more than 20 years, Sony Music Nashville, to sign with Warner Music Nashville, we found out yesterday.

There is no word yet on why he decided to make the label change, nor any word on plans for an album after Cosmic Hallelujah, that came out in 2016. He'll join such artists as Blake Shelton, Hunter Hayes, Cole Swindell, and Chris Janson.

Music City Minute: Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton

Dierks Bentley had a lot of help from his friends on Sunday night as he opened his new Whiskey Row bar and restaurant in downtown Nashville. Dierks launched the new Nashville hot spot by welcoming several of his fellow stars to the stage to sing a few 90's country covers. The night included performances from Dierks, as well as Kelsea Ballerini, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Jon Pardi, Brothers Osborne, Cole Swindell, Lauren Alaina, Maddie and Tae and more.

Carrie Underwood finally gave fans what they've been craving on Friday, she released her anthemic song, "The Champion," to the world. Carrie teamed up with rapper Ludacris for the new song, which will open NBC's Super Bowl 52 on February 4th with a video that was filmed last year. In addition to opening this year's big game, "The Champion" will also be incorporated into NBC's coverage of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, which kick off on February 9 in South Korea.Carrie co-wrote "The Champion" last year with fellow songwriters Brett James, Chris DeStefano and Ludacris (Christopher Bridges), who Carrie personally asked to collaborate on the tune. Carrie says their main focus when writing the song was celebrating athletes at the top of their game, while also resonating with people in their everyday lives. Carrie says, "We hope the lyrics will inspire people to push themselves beyond their limits to conquer anything they are trying to accomplish or overcome. There's a champion in every single one of us!" Ludacris says, "It was a pleasure to collaborate with Carrie for this inspirational song."

Two years after making his debut on NBC's Saturday Night Live in 2016, Chris Stapleton is heading back to the show January 27th. He’ll join the host for that evening, Will Ferrell.

Music City Minute: Tim & Faith, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been named in a copyright lawsuit regarding the title track from their duets album, The Rest of Our Life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, two Australian songwriters -- Sean Carey and Beau Golden -- are suing Tim and Faith, along with the song's co-writers and their respective publishing companies, claiming that "The Rest of Our Life" is "blatant copying" of their 2014 song, "When I Found You." The lawsuit, which was filed in a New York federal court, seeks at least $5 million in actual damages, plus profits, a running royalty and attorney's fees.McGraw and Hill were named in the lawsuit because they're the artists who performed the song, which was written by Ed Sheeran, Amy Wadge, Johnny McDaid and Steve McCutcheon.

Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and his wife Hayley welcome their little girl Olivia Rose into the world December 23rd, well it looks like they’re getting all settled in because they had an ADORABLE photo shoot of their little family of 4, including dog Harley. PEOPLE Country got the photos of the newest member of their little family!

We know that one of the biggest thing Thomas Rhett’s wife likes to be a part of is the 147 Million Orphans Charity which helps out Orphans in Uganda. That is where Lauren and Thomas met their sweet Willa Gray and adopted her from. Now that things have settled down a little bit in the Rhett household Lauren thought it was time to go back and give more of her time and love to the Orphanage.

Lauren recently shared a story on her Instagram on a little boy that she and her team helped named Frances. She captioned the photo with “So this is sweet little Frances. And if you scroll through these pics **WARNING some of them are hard to look at-but it was his reality** he was found by our @147millionorphans ground team in Masindi, Uganda. He is a total orphan, meaning no living relatives… and goes on to explain how they found him, and how he’s doing so great now.

Music City Minute: Dierks Bentley, American Idol, & Cam

Dierks Bentley shared some big news yesterday announcing the release of his ninth studio album, The Mountain, out in early 2018. Dierks revealed that the album was set in motion this past summer while surrounded by some of his musical heroes at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Telluride, Colorado. Dierks soon returned to the small mountain town for a retreat with his songwriter friends, where he said the writing process for the album came together quickly. The bulk of the album's songs, including the title track were written during the week of that retreat, which Dierks described as the most inspiring creative experience he's ever had.Dierks said, "Telluride just makes you want to reach for your guitar. We all went out there and got completely off the grid...out of our normal element and the grind that happens on Music Row and it was, from the very get-go, magic. We'd wake up every morning, grab a coffee, take the gondola up, watch the sun come up over the mountains, and by 8:30 we were writing. We just wrote non-stop."

Yesterday we also told you the new version of "American Idol" is abandoning the bad auditions, and we know a lot of people will be sad, that’s their favorite part! Well William Hung thinks that's a BIG MISTAKE.

Of course, William became the bad audition by which ALL bad auditions were judged when he butchered Ricky Martin's “She Bangs” on Season Three.

William Hung did make a great point, he said that without those auditions, the show might not have anything to separate it from "The Voice"…which doesn't do bad auditions.

Our Y100 Bud Light 8 Man Jam alumni Cam is coming to the rodeo February 18th and we can’t wait! Well, yesterday she posted a selfie on Instagram, but it wasn't some fun "Hey, look at me" pic. She wrote some serious stuff in the caption about how the photo was taken last year before a show when she was feeling anxious and inadequate.

She sent it to a friend hoping for feedback because she thought she looked, quote, "ugly-ridiculous-stupid." It's a feeling that she experiences before EVERY show during what she calls her "one hour of anxiety" of trying to look perfect. Now I’m not saying I’m glad this happens to her, but I am glad that she’s showing the world that she’s just a regular girl like all of us.

It goes on to say that she's DONE letting the "beauty ideal" suck up her time, confidence, and ability to control her own self-worth. She pledges to focus on the positive in the New Year.

She included this in the caption, "I'm gonna leave these insecure moments in 2017. I'm gonna save my [concerns] for magical stuff this year. Just like that. So here I go, looking however I look, without the worry, to more present and powerful experiences in 2018."

Music City Minute: Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, American Idol

Sugarland has revealed the dates for their upcoming "Still the Same Tour," which will make stops this summer. The tour will include special guests Brandy Clark and Clare Bowen on the first leg, while Frankie Ballard and Lindsay Ell will join the duo for the trek's second half. The will make two stops so far in Texas

July 20 - Grand Prairie, TX @ Verizon Theatre at Grand PrairieJuly 21 - Sugar Land, TX @ Smart Financial Centre

There is a presale code you can use to get tickets and VIP Packages right now that code is “STILLTHESAME” you can use it at the rest of the tickets will go on sale Friday at 10am.

Wendy Williams was doing her "Hot Topics" segment the other day, and brought up Carrie Underwood’s accident back in November when she fell on her front porch… and then needed stitches on her face.

Wendy said that she "didn't know a whole bunch about" the accident, and although that would have been the perfect place for her to stop, she didn't. Instead, she suggested that Carrie LIED about the whole thing.

She said, "Carrie said on Twitter that we might not recognize her when it's all said and done. I don't know what that means. An excuse for a facelift? But no, we're cynical. She was already cute, so I don't know what she's doing or what happened."

As you can imagine, that bit of nonsense was all over the place yesterday, which is probably what Wendy Williams was hoping for. A "source" told said Wendy wants to have Carrie on her show to clear the air.

Orginally Dan + Shay thought their new song “Tequila” would be fun party song but then they decided to flip it. They explain how a lot of people related certain alcohol smells to certain memories, certain times in their life, or certain people so it’s really sort of a heartbreak song. Dan says, “It’s kind of a story where it’s like, I can do all these things I can drink whiskey, champagne, red wine all night, but when I taste tequila I’m right back there with that girl.”

This saddens me because I feel like this is a favorite part of the audition process for many people! It was the whole reason why we watch the auditions! I mean come on, who didn’t love William Hung! But American Idol did explain why they’re doing this in a way that completely makes sense, they said, "It doesn't feel comfortable to put borderline unstable people up on stage and laugh at them." Well, when you put it that way I guess it all makes sense. Plus, the inspirational stories are really the ones that make me cry!
