In a recent visit to Kentucky, the WWE star offered strength and comfort to one of his biggest fans, who is battling brain cancer, WYMT reported.

Glenn Jacobs, who wrestles under the name Kane, visited T.J. Brewer in Harlan County. It was a gesture that was appreciated by Brewer’s brother, Chris Brewer, who watched Kane wrestle when they were children.

“We obviously flocked to Kane and Undertaker because on the storyline they were brothers,” Chris Brewer told WYMT.T.J. Brewer has been diagnosed with cancer five times over the past 12 years, WYMT reported. Doctors had given him only days to live at one point, but T.J. continues to show strength, his brother said.

“He was given three months to live he was in Stage 4 (which is) very aggressive and he just kept battling and he used that as like a rallying cry,” Chris Brewer told WYMT.

T.J. Brewer was inspired to start a ministry and share his strength with community members. The response has been positive, Chris Brewer said.

“We've had about 500 visitors, everybody in this community,” he said.

And outsiders like Kane, too.

Dilly, Dilly: Free beer for Philly

Dilly, Dilly! Philadelphia fans, who already spilled plenty of beer after the Eagles’ 41-33 victory against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, will be enjoying free brews when the city has a parade to celebrate the NFL champions.

Bud Light released details promising free beer for Philadelphia, making good on a bet the company made with Eagles’ offensive tackle Lane Johnson during training camp last summer, WPVI reported.

Johnson told reporters last summer that if the Eagles won the Super Bowl, “I’m giving out beer to everybody.”

Bud Light then tweeted to Johnson with an offer. “Let’s make a bet. Win it all and the party is on us.”

Since the Eagles stunned the Patriots, it’s safe to say Dilly, Dilly: there will be beer flowing in Philly.

In the episode that aired Jan. 23, Pearson’s home catches fire when a faulty slow-cooker is left plugged in overnight. Viewers were left with the impression that Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) died in the fire, but in Sunday’s episode, which followed Super Bowl LII, he walked away from the blaze. Pearson appeared to be all right, but when he checks into a hospital because of smoke inhalation and second-degree burns on his hands, he dies of a heart attack, CNN reported.

Fans of the show flocked to Twitter to express their sadness at losing Pearson.

“It’s 5 a.m. and I’m ugly crying because of this show,” one fan tweeted.

“Everybody deserves to be loved by a Jack Pearson,” tweeted another.

“Who needs dumb boys to break your heart when you can watch #ThisIsUs.” tweeted a third person.

A Twitter spokesman said this week’s show received the most tweets since the series debuted, CNN reported.

Super Bowl halftime show had humble beginnings

The Super Bowl halftime show has become an event in itself, with big-name acts commanding center stage before packed stadiums and millions of television viewers.

It has come a long way from trumpeter Al Hirt, who played in the first Super Bowl halftime show before a stadium that was only filled to two-thirds of its capacity.

The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyonce and Katy Perry have given memorable performances, but here are some halftime shows you may have forgotten about.

The first Super Bowl, on Jan. 15, 1967, at the Los Angeles Coliseum, featured Hirt, the University of Arizona Symphonic Marching Band, the Grambling State Marching Band and the Anaheim High School Drill Team and Flag Girls.

Up With People performed in Super Bowl V, and Hirt returned for Super Bowl VI in 1972 to share the stage with Ella Fitzgerald, Carol Channing, the U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Chorale and the U.S. Marine Corps Drill team.

Ever seen a beauty queen perform at halftime? Judy Mallett, who was Miss Texas in 1973, played the fiddle with the University of Texas Longhorn Band when Super Bowl VIII came to Houston’s Rice Stadium in 1974.

Super Bowl XXV in Tampa, Florida, is remembered for Whitney Houston’s rousing rendition of the national anthem, but New Kids on the Block was part of the halftime show.

The Super Bowl in 1992 could be called the last of the modest halftime shows, with Gloria Estefan and members of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team the highlights. But when Fox siphoned off halftime viewers with a live episode of “In Living Color,” the NFL switched to big-name concerts, starting with Michael Jackson in 1993 for Super Bowl XXVII at the Rose Bowl.

Other big names that followed included Diana Ross (1996), Aerosmith (2001), U2 (2002), Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake in a sequence that became known as for its “wardrobe malfunction” (2004), McCartney (2005), the Rolling Stones (2006), Prince (2007), Springsteen (2009), The Who (2011), Perry (2015) and Beyonce (2017).
