USA Today reported McDonald's ended a seven-quarter losing streak and its profits climbed to $1.3 billion, up from $1.07 billion from the same quarter the year prior.

McDonald's has been named the "comeback kid" by CNN as its stock hit its first new record high in 2 1/2 years. It's recent commitment to improve food quality has bested its shares against Chipotle, one of its top "fast casual" competitors.

A year ago, McDonald's made headlines for being in its worst slump in a decade. But it seems the company's recent changes have put the golden arches back in the good graces of hungry Americans.

Anytime is McMuffin time starting now. This is not a drill.

McDonald's announced it will serve breakfast all day starting Tuesday, and the Internet — and probably also your arteries — are freaking out.

This could be a move to combat Taco Bell in the breakfast battle. Remember when McDonald's pulled this act-of-war on Taco Bell back in April?

"If you can prove you already ate at one fast food chain, another fast food chain will give you a free breakfast," reported Buzz: 60. (Video via Buzz: 60

But if you're craving hash browns, you might have to find your fix elsewhere. McDonald's spokeswoman Linda McComb told Buzzfeed some restaurants can't make hash browns all day because of a “restaurant configuration issue.”

So if you really want your favorites, you might have to keep getting up before 10:30 a.m. Your move, Taco Bell. (Video via McDonald's)

Burger King is officially bringing a black burger, similar to one of the menu items in its restaurants in Japan, to the United States.

Unlike the Japanese version, which is made black with squid ink, the American version’s pitch black bun has the added bonus of being slathered in steak sauce.

Dubbed the “A.1. Halloween Whopper” (or Ha.1.Loween Whopper, per FastFoodWatch), the new burger is made with a beef patty topped with melted American cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, pickles, onions and, of course, A.1. Steak Sauce.

The new Whopper’s black bun gets its distinct color by baking steak sauce directly into the bread — no squid ink necessary.

New ad campaign fat-shames Chipotle restaurants

A new ad campaign called Chubby Chipotle has launched a "head on" attack against the popular upscale fast-food chain.

In a full-page New York Post ad (see video), the words "eat two 'all natural' Chipotle burritos a week and you could gain 40 pounds a year" accompany a photo of a hefty male.

The campaign is funded by Center for Consumer Freedom, which includes food and health advocates and lawyers.

"They've built up this idea that somehow their food is better for you, that it's healthier for you," CCF's Director of Research Will Coggin told the Washington Post.

Chipotle, which uses the slogan "Food With Integrity," is referred to as "food with hypocrisy" on the Chubby Chipotle website.

The restaurant "claims to be ethical but its marketing is highly unscientific and harms animal welfare," the website says.

It then pokes holes in specific Chipotle terminology ("gmo-free, sustainable, sofrito" etc.).

It compares the chain's calorie counts to those from McDonald's and criticizes the company's stance against antibiotics, claiming medicine is actually good and necessary for farm animals to survive.

Chipotle responded to the claims, denying them, and acknowledging the company has been criticized about for the same things in the past.

The chain's director of operations even questioned CCF's reputation and its sources of funding.

Coggin says there is more to come from the campaign.

Once again, American fast-food is pushing the limit overseas. The culprit this time: KFC China.

The Nanfang reports that KFC China will be releasing pink and black burger buns on their meals in the future. The buns will be used on chicken burgers sold at the company’s Chinese locations.

The buns come with the “black diamond bacon spicy chicken leg burger” and the “rose cheese roasted chicken leg burger,” each at a price of about $2.80 U.S.

The Nanfang speculates the company is looking to cross-promote with a popular Japanese anime, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica,” which is a hit with Chinese audiences. The costumes of the main characters share the same colors as the burger buns from KFC.

This isn’t the first time an American fast-food company has tried different color buns overseas. Burger King released red burger buns, called “Aka Samurai Beef” and “Aka Samurai Chicken,” in June. The company served the burgers with red buns, red cheese, and red tomatoes, including a sauce known as “angry sauce” for a little spice.

FIRST LOOK: What it’s like at Tiger Woods’ new restaurant

Golfer Tiger Woods has got game — in the restaurant business.

More than 70 people streamed in the moment the velvet ropes were lifted from the door to his new restaurant, The Woods Jupiter, in Jupiter, Florida on Monday.

The 5,900 square-foot restaurant — a sleek and modern upscale sports bar with touches such as illuminated quartz bar and a U-shaped bar that is the restaurant’s focal point — was immediately buzzing with an eager crowd.

“We love going where the food’s good and the atmosphere is good, and this place has both,” said Karen Bush, who drove nearly 40 miles with her friend to be among the restaurant’s first guests.

Woods was not at the opening for the general public, but several staff members said he hosted several VIP parties at the restaurant over the weekend before flying to the PGA Championship, which starts this week at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Kohler, Wisconsin.

Staff members said he has been a regular at the restaurant over the last several weeks, looking over the final design details. He had told several people he would have delayed the restaurant’s opening had he won the tournament last week because he wanted to be in town when the first dishes went out.

Woods, who lives on an estate in Jupiter Island, also plans to make his worldwide headquarters next door to the restaurant, above Bravo! Cucina Italiana restaurant, according to sources at Harbourside Place, which has public and private docking space for boats. A spokeswoman says Woods may attend an official grand opening some time during the start of football season.

The restaurant, which focuses on New American cuisine, hopes to be a family-friendly place with a “sophisticated dining experience” at the water’s edge, according to the official release. It also hopes to be a happy hour hangout with a special happy hour menu, cocktails, and local craft beer offerings from breweries such as Boynton Beach’s Due South Brewing and Tequesta Brewing Company.

The menu reflected that ethos, with items ranging from a lobster and crab cake with a whole lobster claw, tuna “crudo” over arugula and fresh grape tomatoes and a cheese and charcuterie plate.

The main menu included items such as a rib eye steak sandwich with wine-marinated cheese and caramelized balsamic onions, rack of lamb and hog snapper.

“We can see ourselves eating here a couple times a week,” said Pam Gentner of Jupiter.

Some foodie and golf fans came out in hopes of catching a glimpse of Woods, but stayed to be among the restaurant’s first guests regardless.

“I can’t wait to put it on Facebook so my sister and all my friends can see it,” said Claire Crews, 84, of Jupiter. “I just had to be here for the grand opening.”

WATCH: Arby's bids Jon Stewart farewell with hilarious ad

Now, we all know Jon Stewart hasn't been the biggest fan of Arby's over the past couple years.

But with Stewart's very last night on "The Daily Show" coming up fast, the fast-food chain decided to put their differences aside and send him off with the perfect tribute. (Video via Arby's)

"Why not challenge your stomach to a fight? You think pain and grief are hard to digest! It's like shock and awe for your bowels. The meal that's a dare for your colon. It's like a stomach could get punched in the balls! Alright fine, Arby's," Stewart said during a compilation of "Daily Show" clips slamming Arby's.

"Not sure why, but we'll miss you," Arby's wrote at the end of the commercial.

Arby's compiled all of Stewart's not-so-nice remarks about the company into one hilarious commercial to bid him farewell, which we think is pretty darn nice, considering he linked their food to some pretty terrible topics, including Ebola and digestion problems.

But, of course, Arby's didn't make the ad totally out of the goodness of their hearts.

The chain's chief executive told The Wall Street Journal that Stewart's negative comments have only helped increase the brand's popularity. "Collectively, what is going on has resulted in uplift of business performance."

And Arby's isn't the only well-known brand lining up to give Stewart a proper send-off for this reason.

T-Mobile, Bud Light and movie companies including The Weinstein Co. have reportedly bought advertisements that are set to air during Thursday's finale.

And they really must have faith in said ads; a source told The Journal each commercial is priced at roughly $230,000 for 30 seconds of time.

Arby's is also expected to be a part of Thursday's "Daily Show" finale, but it's not buying more ad time. Stewart's last hurrah will air at 11 p.m. ET Thursday on Comedy Central. (Video via Comedy Central / "The Daily Show")
