Single mother, actress Jennifer Garner says she "would not have chosen this life"

Actress Jennifer Garner ended her relationship with husband Ben Affleck in 2015, but the actress said she’s still “not interested in dating” other men.

“I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids,” Garner told Australia’s News.com.au.

“I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It’s something that we are working through. I haven’t been on a date and I am not interested in dating. People want to set me up and I am just like, ‘No thank you!’,” she said.

Garner also commented on the recent wave of sexual misconduct allegations in Hollywood, which Affleck himself was caught up in when it was revealed that he had clumsily groped an MTV presenter in 2003.

“We can’t lump all men into [the same category],” she said. “We can’t just assume that every man has done something awful or that every man is guilty; due process is important and has to take place.”

Garner and Affleck separated in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage — although the divorce was not officially finalized until 2017. No specific reason was given for the split, but multiple reports of Affleck’s infidelity began to emerge in the aftermath, one of which claimed Affleck had been having an affair with the nanny of their three children, Christine Ouzounian — an allegation Affleck denied.

Another accusation alleged that Affleck and his current partner, “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus, started seeing each other long before they became official and while they were still married to their respective spouses.

Garner recently spent a lot of time promoting her latest movie, “The Tribes of Palos Verdes,” which is based on 1998 Joy Nicholson novel. Garner plays a distressed mother whose husband (Justin Kirk) abandons her for another woman shortly after they move to the swanky beach community of Palos Verdes, California, with their two teenage children (played by Maika Monroe and Cody Fern).

Report: Gwyneth Paltrow engaged to TV exec Brad Falchuk after years of dating

Gwyneth Paltrow’s boyfriend of three years, Brad Falchuk, has proposed to his actress girlfriend, Us Weekly reports.

>> Read more trending news

Citing multiple unnamed sources, the publication reported the engagement was more a matter of when than if.

“They both knew it would happen, but it wasn’t a big thing to them because they were both in long marriages before. There wasn’t a rush,” one source revealed.

Paltrow and Falchuck met on the set of “Glee” in 2014. Falchuk, 46, was co-creator and executive producer of the former Fox show, and Paltrow had a reoccurring role as substitute teacher, Holly Holliday.

According to Us Weekly, the pair revealed their relationship to the public in September 2015 during a premiere of “Scream Queens” -- another of Falchuk’s projects.

“I think she just supports everything I do, thankfully,” Falchuk said of his now-fiancee at the time.

Paltrow, 45, made headlines in 2014 when she announced her divorce from Coldplay’s Chris Martin after 10 years of marriage. While the divorce was surprising to many, it was what Paltrow called the separation that had people scratching their heads. Their statement on Paltrow’s lifestyle site Goop read, in part, “We have always conducted our relationship privately and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

“Conscious uncoupling” became a meme of it’s own, which Paltrow would eventually grow to regret. The pair are still amicable and co-parent son, Moses, 11, and daughter Apple, 13.

Falchuk also shares two kids, Isabella and Brody, with ex-wife and TV producer Suzanne Falchuk.

Charlie Rose fired from CBS amid sexual harassment allegations; PBS cuts ties with newsman

Update 1:45 p.m. Nov. 21: PBS announced Tuesday that it is ending its relationship with award-winning journalist Charlie Rose in the wake of allegations that he sexually harassed women working on, or aspiring to work on, his self-titled PBS show.

"In light of yesterday's revelations, PBS has terminated its relationship with Charlie Rose and cancelled distribution of his programs," network officials said Tuesday in a statement. "PBS expects all the producers we work with to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect."

PBS officials had earlier announced that they were pulling his self-titled show after eight women claimed that they were sexually harassed by Rose between the 1990s and 2011. Bloomberg also pulled his show.

Earlier Tuesday, CBS News announced that Rose was being dismissed in light of the allegations.

Rose has apologized for the incidents, but added that he doesn’t “believe that all of these allegations are accurate.”

Update 12:31 p.m. Nov. 21: CBS News has fired Charlie Rose in the wake of allegations that the well-known journalist made unwanted sexual advances and groped women who worked or aspired to work on his self-titled PBS show between the 1990s and 2011.

“Despite Charlie's important journalistic contribution to our news division, there is absolutely nothing more important, in this or any organization, than ensuring a safe, professional workplace -- a supportive environment where people feel they can do their best work,” CBS News President David Rhodes wrote Tuesday in a memo sent to staff members. “We need to be such a place.”

Eight women told The Washington Post that Rose “made unwanted sexual advances toward them, including lewd phone calls, walking around naked in their presence, or groping their breasts, buttocks or genital areas.”

The women ranged in age from 21 to 37 at the time of the alleged encounters.

Rose apologized for his behavior in a statement on Monday.

"I am greatly embarrassed," he wrote. "I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate. I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realized I was mistaken.”

Both PBS and Bloomberg pulled Rose’s self-titled show in the wake of the allegations.

Original report: CBS News and PBS have suspended award-winning journalist Charlie Rose after allegations from eight women that the longtime talk show host and host of “CBS This Morning” sexually harassed them dating back to the 1990s until 2011, according to the Washington Post.

“Charlie Rose is suspended immediately while we look into this matter. These allegations are extremely disturbing and we take them very seriously,” a CBS  spokesperson said in a written statement, the Post reported.

Rose, 75, made unwanted sexual advances and allegedly groped women who worked on his show “Charlie Rose The Week,” which aired on PBS, but was produced by an independent company, and Bloomberg TV. He’s also accused of appearing naked in front of some of the women.

Both PBS and Bloomberg have pulled his show.

“PBS was shocked to learn today of these deeply disturbing allegations. We are immediately suspending distribution of ‘Charlie Rose,'” a PBS spokesperson said in a statement, according to the Huffington Post.

“PBS does not fund this nightly program or supervise its production, but we expect our producers to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect.”

The women involved in the accusations against Rose ranged in age from 21 to 37 at the time of the alleged incidents.

Rose issued an apology on Twitter, calling his behavior “inappropriate .”

“I am greatly embarrassed. I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate. I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realize I was mistaken,” he said.

Rose is the latest in a string of powerful men publicly accused of inappropriate behavior toward women over the past three decades, beginning last month with rape accusations and sexual harassment allegations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Also on Monday, New York Times reporter Glenn Thrush was suspended after a report that he behaved inappropriately with female journalists.

Herschel Walker blames Roger Goodell for continued NFL protests

Former NFL running back Herschel Walker blamed NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for the longevity of NFL protests.

>> Read more trending news

Started by Colin Kaepernick last season, it has become common for NFL players to take a knee during the playing of the national anthem in protest of police brutality and social injustice in the United States.

“I absolutely think the protests are so upsetting, and I blame the commissioner,” Walker said, according to the New York Post. “I know people are going to be angry when I say it, but he should have stopped the protests at the very beginning."

“Guys, let me tell you this,” Walker continued. “Our flag is very special, and black lives matter, but what we should do is go to Washington after the season and protest there instead. We have young men and women fighting for the flag. And we have to respect the White House.”>> Related: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wants players to stand during national anthem, memo says

While this is the first time Walker has publicly blamed the commissioner, it isn’t the first time Walker has expressed his opinion that NFL players should not protest during the playing of the national anthem

Above all else, Walker said in an interview with TMZ in September that players are at work during the games and should treat their jobs and bosses with respect.

“Everyone needs to stand. Everyone needs to be respectful,” Walker told TMZ. “And then what I’d do (if I were commissioner) is (say), ‘Guys, during the offseason, if you want to go walk the picket line in front of Congress, I will be right there with you.’”

President Donald Trump has continually voiced his opinion that the NFL should implement a rule demanding players stand during the playing of the national anthem.

Mother of Alex Rodriguez’s ex says he ‘couldn’t have an intellectual conversation’

Despite his relationship with Jennifer Lopez, there’s one person who isn’t impressed with Alex Rodriguez — Esther Wojcicki, the mother of his ex-girlfriend, Anne Wojcicki.

“I liked A-Rod, he was a very nice man. He came from a Hispanic family. We liked them, they were very sweet. He seemed to be genuinely in love with Anne. But I right away figured out this was a mismatch. He had no academic background,” Esther Wojcicki told the New York Times in a profile about her daughter. “We couldn’t have an intellectual conversation about anything. His main interest in life was something that none of us had ever focused on, which was baseball.”

>> Read more trending news

Anne Wojcicki is the founder of billion-dollar DNA testing company 23andMe and the ex-wife of Google co-founder, Sergey Brin. “Entertainment Tonight” reported she dated the former Yankee for nearly a year before breaking up in late 2016.

The elder Wojcicki — who is also mother to YouTube CEO, Susan Wojcicki — was critical of her youngest daughter’s boyfriend. Like any protective mother, she wasn’t a fan of A-Rod’s bad habits. It seems her pet peeve was his over-indulging in sports television.

“His main interest in life was something that none of us had ever focused on, which was baseball,” she said. “He could park himself in front of a TV and watch baseball for 10 hours a day. He wasn’t even sure he wanted to go on the yacht with Anne because the TV might not be working.”

Esther Wojcicki came just shy of calling the baseball player a “dumb jock.”

Related: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez detail their relationship in Vanity Fair profile

According to Anne Wojcicki, when they began dating, she barely knew a thing about baseball, and eventually, vastly different lifestyles, Rodriguez’s life in New York and Anne Wojcicki’s life in Silicon Valley, pulled the pair apart.

“Alex is a really sweet guy. He’s a smart guy. He’s a good person. Alex lives in this world of cash-flow businesses, and Silicon Valley lives in this world of the potential of the future. So it was actually kind of a really fun conversation,” Anne Wojcicki said. “Alex was really into car dealerships, and I was like, ‘We’re all about self-driving cars. Nobody’s going to buy a car. You want to buy a car dealership? I’m going to short your car dealership.’”

Anne Wojcicki also said that Rodriguez’s superstardom made day-to-day life a challenge.

“We couldn’t go anywhere with him. If we went to Target to look for clothes for the kids, all of a sudden we’d be looking around and people would be saying, ‘We just want a selfie with A-Rod,’” she said. “He can’t walk across Central Park. He has to take a cab. That will work better with J-Lo because she’s like, ‘Take a picture of me anytime.’”

As far as Mom’s opinion on Jennifer Lopez?

“I wish J-Lo all the luck in the world,” she said.

She’s not looking to step into another high-profile relationship anytime soon, either.

“I’d really love to date someone who’s really simple and not famous. My life is already pretty complicated,” Anne Wojcicki told the Times.

The exes seem to be doing just fine apart. Rodriguez recently landed the cover of “Vanity Fair” with his new love and is “living the dream.” As for Anne Wojcicki, she’s completely changing the genetic game, turning around the luck of her unlikely startup.
